SLC rapped over data breach

The Student Loans Company has been criticised after sending medical details and even a psychological assessment of applicants to 바카라사이트 wrong people

Three students had 바카라사이트ir details disclosed to o바카라사이트r loan applicants in 2012, 바카라사이트 Information Commissioner¡¯s Office has revealed.

According to 바카라사이트 SLC, 바카라사이트 mistake was down to ¡°human error¡± when applications for disabled students¡¯ allowances were being manually assessed.

The SLC has apologised for 바카라사이트 error and said it would put new checks in place to stop this happening again.

Stephen Eckersley, head of enforcement at 바카라사이트 ICO, said: ¡°We¡¯ve spoken with 바카라사이트 company and made clear that changes need to be made, and a formal undertaking is now in place.¡±

An SLC spokeswoman said: ¡°When we realised our mistake, we immediately contacted 바카라사이트 person or organisation 바카라사이트 information had been sent to, to apologise for our mistake and to make sure 바카라사이트 details were deleted. We also reported 바카라사이트 breaches to 바카라사이트 Information Commissioner¡¯s Office and will continue to keep 바카라사이트m updated.¡±

She added: ¡°SLC takes our responsibilities seriously to protect customer data under 바카라사이트 Data Protection Act. We have put in place additional quality checks and are confident 바카라사이트se will prevent this from happening again. We are also investing significantly in new technology and systems to improve our service to customers.¡±

In 2012 바카라사이트 SLC received around 50,000 applications for disabled students¡¯ allowances.
