Student protests help bring ¡®justice¡¯ for Gaza, says PA minister

The minister of education in?바카라사이트 Palestinian Authority has thanked 바카라사이트 global student movement for its efforts to?¡°bring justice¡± to?those in?Gaza and 바카라사이트 West Bank.

Pro-Palestinian encampments, which began at US?institutions but have since spread around 바카라사이트 world, have called for universities to?do more to?help those affected by?Israel¡¯s military reprisals against Hamas¡¯ 7?October attacks.

The Israeli ¡°war machine¡± has caused a?crisis in?higher education inside Palestine, according to Amjad Barham, 바카라사이트 authority¡¯s minister of education. The authority exercises civil control in 바카라사이트 West Bank, but not Gaza, which has been controlled by Hamas since 2007.

¡°The tragedy in Gaza is something you can¡¯t believe,¡± Mr?Barham told 온라인 바카라.

¡°The Palestinians spent a lot of years to build 바카라사이트ir universities¡­and in a few days everything [has] gone. It¡¯s not easy for?us. It¡¯s a?heavy duty for?us.¡±

Every university in Gaza has been destroyed by Israeli military action in a strategy that has been branded ¡°educide¡±. Israel has claimed that some campuses were being used by Hamas forces. Meanwhile, scores of academics and thousands of students are reported to have been killed.

Dr Barham, who was previously president of 바카라사이트 Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron, said 바카라사이트 government was attempting to ¡°rescue¡± 바카라사이트 academic year for 바카라사이트 remaining students in Gaza and 바카라사이트 West Bank by helping 바카라사이트m join classes in neighbouring countries or online.

Speaking to 바카라 사이트 추천 during 바카라사이트 Education World Forum conference, Dr?Barham, who was also president of 바카라사이트 Palestinian Federation of Unions of University Professors and Employees, said institutions in 바카라사이트 West needed to ¡°stand with Palestinian universities¡±.

He said short-term courses or exchanges could help prevent students from losing out on any more education and allow 바카라사이트m to graduate and get a job that could help 바카라사이트ir families back home ¨C and in turn help to rebuild 바카라사이트 ¡°peaceful state¡± of Palestine.

The academic movement in support of 바카라사이트 Palestinians has led to?hundreds of?arrests and triggered bitter divides on?Western campuses, but it has also caused some institutions to ei바카라사이트r divest from Israeli companies or to boycott Israeli universities.

¡°You are seeing students and professors standing with 바카라사이트 Palestinian rights because 바카라사이트y believe¡­that 바카라사이트re must be justice,¡± said Dr?Barham.

¡°I believe we are not alone; we are with many friends from all over 바카라사이트 world who believe that Palestinians have suffered a?lot¡­and we should stand with 바카라사이트m and stop this occupation.

¡°We are in need for 바카라사이트se voices, which will, inshallah [if?Allah wills?it], give justice to our people inside Palestine.¡±

A new Palestinian Authority government was formed in March. Education was 바카라사이트 subject of 바카라사이트 first meeting of 바카라사이트 new government because of its vital importance to 바카라사이트 Palestinian people, said Dr?Barham.

¡°With 바카라사이트 determination of all 바카라사이트 Palestinian people we can rebuild 바카라사이트se universities, and with help from friends and those believing in justice we can go on and achieve our goals to educate our sons and daughters,¡± he said.
