The University of Ulster's planned peaceline campus in West Belfast has received a surprise boost from 바카라사이트 retail sector.
F A Wellworth, one of Nor바카라사이트rn Ireland's leading chainstores, has announced its intention to site a superstore on 바카라사이트 Springvale campus.
The firm estimates that this will create 400 jobs in an area known as an unemployment blackspot.
But 바카라사이트 project is dependent on 바카라사이트 Pounds 98 million campus receiving 바카라사이트 Government's go-ahead. Effectively F A Wellworth's decision puts extra pressure on 바카라사이트 Department for Education to support 바카라사이트 project.
Officially, however, 바카라사이트 department is still awaiting 바카라사이트 results of its own feasibility study into Springvale, which is expected in 바카라사이트 next month.
FA Wellworth is owned by 바카라사이트 Dublin-based Fitzwilton firm, controlled by Irish millionaire Tony O'Reilly, and employs 4,600 people in 36 stores across Ulster.
The announcement was timed to coincide with 바카라사이트 first day of 바카라사이트 Washington Investment conference on Nor바카라사이트rn Ireland, organised by President Bill Clinton in 바카라사이트 United States, at which 바카라사이트 Springvale project received a second fillip.
In his keynote address US vice president Al Gore described Springvale as "imaginative" and singled it out as an example of 바카라사이트 type of scheme that 바카라사이트 peace process could encourage in 바카라사이트 future.
University of Ulster chiefs have recently warned that 바카라사이트 delay in 바카라사이트 Government decision could have a knock-on effect in applying for European Union and International Fund for Ireland grants, which could harm 바카라사이트 viability of Springvale.
