Sussex given injunction over protests

In a statement, 바카라사이트 university said 바카라사이트 injunction was intended to ¡°prevent a repetition of 바카라사이트 kind of violent protest seen on campus¡± on 25 March, when hundreds of students took part in a demonstration against university privatisation.

¡°It currently stands that no arrests have been made, no one was injured or hurt during 바카라사이트 protest and to use 바카라사이트 word ¡®violence¡¯ seems seriously misleading,¡± a spokesman for 바카라사이트 campaign told 온라인 바카라.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said that?damage was caused by protesters to 바카라사이트 university buildings before police stepped in to assist university security, and that a conscience decision was made for officers to step back from 바카라사이트 protest and not to use force.

The university said 바카라사이트 protest on 25 March had been arranged without liaison with 바카라사이트 university or 바카라사이트 local police, and that it had been advertised in London via posters and online videos inciting aggressive action.?

¡°We have now embarked on this legal process to prevent a repetition of 바카라사이트 type of violent protest we saw at Sussex House on Monday and to pave 바카라사이트 way to ending 바카라사이트 occupation so that we can restore our conference and teaching space in Bramber House to full use,¡± said Sussex registrar, John Duffy.

Campaigners claim 바카라사이트 injunction prevents not just 바카라사이트 occupation but anyone from within 바카라사이트 university or beyond from entering or remaining on 바카라사이트 campus for 바카라사이트 purpose of protest, without consent from 바카라사이트 university.

However 바카라사이트 university stressed that 바카라사이트 steps were taken ¡°specifically around 바카라사이트 occupation and 바카라사이트 violence we experienced on Monday¡± and that it was not seeking to prevent peaceful demonstrations which do not involve occupations.?

¡°We will continue to respect our students¡¯ freedom to demonstrate peacefully on our campus,¡± a spokeswoman added.

A hearing to decide 바카라사이트 university¡¯s right to use its building will be brought before 바카라사이트 High Court on March, with campaigners from 바카라사이트 Defend 바카라사이트 Right to Protest group planning a rally outside 바카라사이트 Royal Courts of Justice.??

The occupation of Bramber House is in protest at plans to outsource 235 estates and catering jobs at 바카라사이트 institution. On Monday, 바카라사이트 National Union of Students expressed solidarity with 바카라사이트 occupation on campus and said it strongly opposed 바카라사이트 proposed privatisation of services at 바카라사이트 university.
