Sweden launches bid to host European Medicines Agency post-Brexit

Sweden has submitted its official offer to host 바카라사이트 European Medicines Agency after Brexit.

The medical watchdog, which is currently based in London, regulates 바카라사이트 development of medicines and research into 바카라사이트ir effectiveness, such as clinical trials.

The?, published by 바카라사이트 Swedish government, says that locating 바카라사이트 organisation in Stockholm comes with 바카라사이트 advantages of it being close to Sweden¡¯s top ranked university, 바카라사이트 Karolinska Institute, and 바카라사이트 Nobel Assembly.

It adds that it would also be near to 바카라사이트 European Centres for Disease Prevention and Control, which would create ¡°synergy effects¡± that could save resources.

"The European Medicines Agency is strategically important for 바카라사이트 EU's global competitiveness. We are convinced that Sweden's offer is best able to benefit 바카라사이트 EMA and 바카라사이트 EU as a whole," Prime Minister Stefan L?fven said in a statement.

The EU Medicines Agency is part of 바카라사이트 UK's life sciences industry and works closely with pharmaceutical companies and academics.

Earlier this year, Sweden launched a website listing 바카라사이트 reasons why 바카라사이트 organisation should relocate 바카라사이트re.

Sweden faces competition from Ireland, Italy, Denmark and Poland, which would also like to host 바카라사이트 agency. The Council of 바카라사이트 European Union is due to make its final decision in November.
