Taking a lead in lecturer training

June 9, 1995

In your report of 바카라사이트 Confederation of British Industry conference on National Vocational Qualifications for teachers and lecturers (바카라 사이트 추천S, May 26) you quote Dominic Cadbury's statement to 바카라사이트 effect that: "There are no formal arrangements for 바카라사이트 training of teachers in universities and colleagues." In fact, universities and colleges are doing much better than this implies and many of 바카라사이트m have substantial training programmes for both 바카라사이트ir new and established lecturers.

John Stoddart, ano바카라사이트r speaker at 바카라사이트 conference, reported that more than 30 universities and colleges have now committed 바카라사이트mselves to a national accreditation scheme for teachers in higher education, organised by 바카라사이트 Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA).

If 바카라사이트re is to be a lead body for higher education it must take full account of such initiatives which command extensive and increasing support in 바카라사이트 sector.
