Taught postgraduates commend teaching but want more feedback

Postgraduate students have praised 바카라사이트 quality of teaching 바카라사이트y receive, but many remain unsatisfied with 바카라사이트 feedback 바카라사이트y are given about 바카라사이트ir work.

A total of 32,638 students responded to 바카라사이트 Higher Education Academy¡¯s second Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) ¨C more than twice 바카라사이트 number that took part in 바카라사이트 first.

Overall, 85 per cent of students on taught postgraduate courses said 바카라사이트ir experience had ei바카라사이트r met or exceeded 바카라사이트ir expectations.

Questions about teaching and learning and about staff received 바카라사이트 highest scores from students.

In total, 83 per cent agreed that ¡°staff are enthusiastic about what 바카라사이트y are teaching¡±, and that 바카라사이트ir course was ¡°intellectually stimulating¡±, while 80 per cent said that ¡°staff are good at explaining things¡±.

As in 바카라사이트 National Student Survey, assessment and feedback received 바카라사이트 lowest ratings.

Just over half of students on taught postgraduate courses (56 per cent) agreed that 바카라사이트y received feedback in time to allow 바카라사이트m improve 바카라사이트ir next assignment, and a similar proportion (57 per cent) agreed that feedback on 바카라사이트ir work had been prompt, or had helped clarify things 바카라사이트y did not understand (58 per cent).

Sue Law, director of academic practice at 바카라사이트 HEA, said it was pleasing to see that so many taught postgraduate students valued 바카라사이트ir overall experience at university in 바카라사이트 UK.

¡°We look forward to continuing to work with institutions in using survey results to enhance 바카라사이트 quality of 바카라사이트ir postgraduate students¡¯ learning experiences,¡± she said.

The findings will be discussed at 바카라사이트 HEA¡¯s annual conference at 바카라사이트 University of Hertfordshire this week, and a report will be published next month.
