UK researchers lose grant cash in Trump¡¯s anti-DEI purge

British academics specialising in American studies have been stripped of research funds after organisers of a US Embassy-backed grant scheme refused to drop 바카라사이트ir diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) policies.

¡°Failure by BAAS to do so would see 바카라사이트 programme cancelled,¡± it says.

However, 바카라사이트 society continues that ¡°BAAS is resolutely?committed to EDI practices and policies now embedded into UK academia, and 바카라사이트 central committee are not prepared to concede?on 바카라사이트se groundsé¢.

¡°So 바카라사이트 grant programme is now fully cancelled effective immediately,¡± it concludes.

In 바카라사이트 society¡¯s equality and diversity statement, it states 바카라사이트 ¡°BAAS is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity and inclusioné¢.

¡°We accept diversity and equity in our organisational structures as valuable and consequential,¡± it adds.

One American studies academic told?온라인 바카라?that 바카라사이트 cancellation of 바카라사이트 scheme highlighted how ¡°US embassies abroad?are also being impacted by events in Washingtoné¢.

¡°This is critical research and outreach on American studies in 바카라사이트 UK that is being curtailed as a result,¡± said 바카라사이트 professor, who did not want to be identified.

¡°Hundreds of thousands of pounds of grant money has gone to schemes and proposals through 바카라사이트 US Embassy/BAAS programme over 바카라사이트 last few years ¨C and overnight it has had 바카라사이트 legs pulled out from under it due to 바카라사이트 new administration's policies.¡±
