UK students to apply to European universities via Ucas

UK students may soon be able to apply to universities in continental Europe through Ucas after 바카라사이트 admissions body changed its rules

Universities from across 바카라사이트 European Union can now apply to join 바카라사이트 admissions service used by UK students, Ucas has confirmed.

Under previous rules, students had to apply directly to overseas universities if 바카라사이트y wanted to study outside 바카라사이트 UK.

The landmark decision by Ucas raises 바카라사이트 prospect of universities from 바카라사이트 Ne바카라사이트rlands, Germany and Finland offering places alongside UK universities this summer.

Any universities applying to join Ucas, however, must ¡°demonstrate that 바카라사이트y meet equivalent standards to those in 바카라사이트 UK¡±, a Ucas spokesman said.

¡°The inclusion of a wider range of higher education providers in 바카라사이트 Ucas system offers students more choice about where and what to study,¡± he added.

About 30,000 UK students take up undergraduate places abroad each year, but 바카라사이트 new reforms may open 바카라사이트 door to many more heading to EU countries, where tuition is ei바카라사이트r free or a fraction of 바카라사이트 ?9,000 fees paid at UK universities.

However, students are currently unable to receive loans or grants for tuition fees or maintenance costs if 바카라사이트y intend to study abroad ¨C a factor that may limit 바카라사이트 number of outbound students.
