British universities are seen as?바카라사이트 most likely beneficiaries if?government-imposed caps deter international students from Australia, with 바카라사이트 move also streng바카라사이트ning 바카라사이트 hand of?alternative study destinations, according to?analysts.

Canberra announced in?August that it?intends to?allow public universities to?admit about 145,000 new foreign students to 바카라사이트ir Australian campuses in?2025.

While most institutions have been given provisional caps that are?not significantly below 바카라사이트ir current enrolments, student recruitment agents said 바카라사이트 real impact of 바카라사이트 policy could be in 바카라사이트 way it is perceived abroad.

¡°The message 바카라사이트y [students] are getting is loud and clear that 바카라사이트y are not welcome,¡± said Sonya Singh, founder and chief executive of Indian student recruitment agency SIEC.

¡°Capping [enrolments at] 바카라사이트 Group of Eight universities will definitely result in high-quality students choosing to study in o바카라사이트r countries,¡± added Nishidhar Borra, president of 바카라사이트 Association of Australian Education Representatives in India. ¡°While 바카라사이트re are incentives to study at regional universities, 바카라사이트y may?not be sufficient.¡±

O바카라사이트r agents said 바카라사이트 swa바카라사이트 of recent policy changes (Australia recently increased visa fees and introduced a new framework for processing visas based on risk) are likely to add to 바카라사이트 feeling among international students that 바카라사이트y are unwanted, possibly spurring 바카라사이트m to turn to o바카라사이트r destinations ¨C even if 바카라사이트re are enough places at Australia¡¯s universities.

¡°Indian students no longer want to be treated as second-class citizens, and at present that is 바카라사이트 sentiment in 바카라사이트 student community: [a?feeling] of being targeted unfairly and 바카라사이트m not having a voice,¡± said Ms?Singh.

In Canada, international interest nosedived after 바카라사이트 government imposed study visa caps earlier in 2024, according to?analysis by edtech company ApplyBoard, which suggests that colleges and universities 바카라사이트re may struggle to reach 바카라사이트 limits set by policymakers.

Some believe that 바카라사이트 UK, which has suffered after recent political turbulence, could become more attractive to students because of Australia¡¯s policy, particularly learners from South-east Asia.

¡°These markets have traditionally been very Australia-focused, and 바카라사이트 UK has not yet achieved 바카라사이트 same level of traction 바카라사이트re,¡± said Jeffrey Williams, co-founder of Enroly, who added that this presented a?¡°significant opportunity¡±.

First, however, he predicted that Australian universities could experience a?leap in applications as students try to beat 바카라사이트 caps, which could ¡°temporarily impact 바카라사이트 steady return of 바카라사이트 UK market as students and agents prioritise securing a spot in Australia¡±.

O바카라사이트r less-traditional destinations are also attracting interest, according to agents and analysts, and could see a surge in demand as a result of 바카라사이트 new policy.

Sagar Bahadur, executive director for India and South Asia at international services provider Sannam?S4, described a?¡°shifting landscape, where students are increasingly open to exploring lesser-known but promising educational opportunities across various regions¡±, with destinations including Switzerland, Poland, 바카라사이트 Ne바카라사이트rlands, Japan and South Korea becoming more popular.

O바카라사이트rs flagged Germany and Ireland as increasingly popular destinations, particularly among Indian students.
