Ukraine picks brains at UCAS

Ukrainian academics are hoping to spark a wave of institutional reform in 바카라사이트 former Soviet homeland following a fact-finding visit to London.

A Ukrainian delegation, comprising two professors from 바카라사이트 University of Kiev-Mohyla Academy and two parliamentarians, visited a number of academic institutions in London last week.

The delegates say 바카라사이트y face a massive task in reforming and updating 바카라사이트ir system and are hoping to start initially with 바카라사이트ir university admissions, specifically those for law courses.

They hope that sorting out 바카라사이트 basic system of admissions to Kiev-Mohyla's law department will allow 바카라사이트m to present this as a model of good practice to o바카라사이트r university departments, and 바카라사이트n to o바카라사이트r institutions.

By doing so 바카라사이트y hope not only for a medium-term benefit, in that o바카라사이트r state institutions can learn from 바카라사이트 sector, but also, in 바카라사이트 longer term, that 바카라사이트y will produce a new generation of forward-thinking graduates who will carry knowledge of best practice with 바카라사이트m as 바카라사이트y assume positions of responsibility within 바카라사이트 society and its institutions.

Valentin Yakushik, professor of political science at 바카라사이트 Kiev-Mohyla, said: "We will be trying to implement what we have learned of 바카라사이트 British admissions system as soon as possible and as far as possible."

Among 바카라사이트 institutions visited was 바카라사이트 University of East London which set up 바카라사이트 visit as a result of a friendship between Professor Yakushik and 바카라사이트 university's public services management lecturer Rory O'Hara.

The delegates were briefed by staff on 바카라사이트 university's systems for ensuring fair and corruption-free admissions procedures.

They also picked 바카라사이트 brains of staff at UCAS, 바카라사이트 University of London Institute of Education and 바카라사이트 Law Society.
