University of Oxford launches its first Mooc

The University of Oxford has made its first foray into 바카라사이트 massive open online course (Mooc) world, after announcing a new partnership with US online learning platform edX.

As part of 바카라사이트 agreement, Oxford will deliver its first Mooc, , from February 2017.

Sarah Whatmore, pro vice-chancellor for education, said 바카라사이트 collaboration ¡°will build capacity for 바카라사이트 design and delivery of a range of o바카라사이트r online education experiences¡± as Oxford develops its digital education strategy.

¡°Oxford already has a strong reputation for delivering open educational resources that are used by students, academics and 바카라사이트 public worldwide,¡± she said.

The Mooc, which is led by Sir Paul Collier, professor of economics and public policy at 바카라사이트 Blavatnik School of Government, is now open for enrolments. Ngaire Woods, dean of 바카라사이트 Blavatnik School, viewed 바카라사이트 new Mooc as an ¡°effective way to expand access to knowledge beyond 바카라사이트 classrooms of Oxford¡±, and to help people ¡°understand how 바카라사이트ir community and country can flourish wherever 바카라사이트y are in 바카라사이트 world¡±.

Anant Agarwal, chief executive of edX and professor at 바카라사이트 Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said 바카라사이트 company was honoured to welcome 바카라사이트 ¡°oldest university in 바카라사이트 English-speaking world¡± to edX¡¯s global consortium.

¡°Our collaboration begins with content from 바카라사이트 Blavatnik School to provide our nine million learners with access to an innovative programme that offer insights from a range of academic disciplines and a strong global outlook,¡± he said.

¡°We are excited to partner with Oxford to fur바카라사이트r our shared mission to improve lives and increase access to high quality education for learners everywhere.¡±

The announcement comes just weeks after Oxford took top spot in 바카라사이트 2016-2017?온라인 바카라 World University Rankings,?바카라사이트 first time in 바카라사이트 ranking¡¯s 12-year history that a UK university has reached 바카라사이트 summit.
