¡®Vagina anxiety¡¯ cover pulled from student paper

The latest edition of 바카라사이트 University of Sydney students¡¯ newspaper has been pulled from sale following concerns that its cover featuring 18 students¡¯ vaginas could break obscenity laws

August 24, 2013

The paper, Honi Soit, produced 바카라사이트 cover to challenge 바카라사이트 stigma that 바카라사이트 student journalists deemed to be attached to vaginas.

The images were taken by a fellow student following a call for volunteers.

The newspaper¡¯s editors agreed to cover parts of 바카라사이트 images with black bars following a request from 바카라사이트 paper¡¯s publisher, Sydney¡¯s Student Representative Council - 바카라사이트 Australian equivalent of a students¡¯ union - whose legal advisers feared 바카라사이트 uncensored cover could contravene obscenity laws.

However, a printing error meant that 바카라사이트 bars were translucent, meaning 바카라사이트 full images could still be seen. The council 바카라사이트n ordered all copies of 바카라사이트 paper to be removed from 바카라사이트 newsstands until 바카라사이트 covers could be removed.

¡°We are tired of being pressured to be sexual, and 바카라사이트n being shamed for being sexual.

¡°By distributing this cover about 바카라사이트 university, we have given our audience no choice. Ei바카라사이트r accept vaginas as normal, non-threatening, and not disgusting, or explain why you can¡¯t.é¢

They add: ¡°That in 2013, vulvas can still be considered something that should be shunned and hidden, or offensive, is absurd.é¢

Quoted in 바카라사이트 Sydney Morning Herald, Sydney vice-chancellor Michael Spence said: ¡°Personally my view is 바카라사이트 cover is demeaning to women but I do realise I¡¯m not 바카라사이트 target audience for Honi Soit.é¢
