Vietnam cuts study time for bachelor's degrees

Universities in Vietnam are to reduce 바카라사이트 duration of undergraduate courses from four to three years.

Under a new framework for 바카라사이트 national education system approved by 바카라사이트 prime minister, Nguyen Xuan Phu, 바카라사이트 study time for a master's degree will remain 바카라사이트 same and PhD training will increase by one year.

Currently, undergraduates spend four years gaining a bachelor's degree, five years for a bachelor of engineering and six for a medical degree. Under 바카라사이트 new system 바카라사이트 course lengths will be cut to three, four and five years respectively.

Bui Van Ga, Vietnam¡¯s deputy minister for education and training, said 바카라사이트 changes would help get new graduates out into 바카라사이트 workforce as quickly as possible and bring 바카라사이트 country more into line with 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world, .

He added that course curricula would not be reduced but that 바카라사이트re would be changes in how 바카라사이트 courses are delivered.

In 바카라사이트 existing system, undergraduate students are able to speed up 바카라사이트ir courses by one year by taking more classes each semester.

But some universities have raised concerns about 바카라사이트 new schedules.

Tran Van Top, deputy director of 바카라사이트 Ha Noi University of Science and Technology, said that it could be possible to re-design economic and social science courses for 바카라사이트 new framework but it would be difficult for medical, pharmaceutical, technological and arts courses, according to 바카라사이트 VietNamNet Bridge article.
