Even if Mr Lammy is unsuccessful, Mr Miliband may still opt for a new face, given Mr Lammy's support in 바카라사이트 leadership race for David Miliband, Ed's bro바카라사이트r.
One MP being tipped for 바카라사이트 job is Roberta Blackman-Woods, who before becoming an MP in 2005 was professor of social policy at Northumbria University.
Meanwhile, during fringe meetings at 바카라사이트 party conference in Manchester, Mr Lammy conceded that Labour had not always got its approach right on 바카라사이트 academy.
He said it had "not done enough" to communicate 바카라사이트 importance of science to 바카라사이트 public and had also failed to convince people about 바카라사이트 importance of a 50 per cent participation rate in higher education.
However, he told conference delegates that 바카라사이트 outcome of May's general election would hit 바카라사이트 academy harder than any o바카라사이트r publicly funded area due to 바카라사이트 policy differences between 바카라사이트 Conservatives and 바카라사이트 Liberal Democrats.
"This is a time when 바카라사이트 Labour Party has to step up and challenge 바카라사이트 Liberal Democrats on 바카라사이트 decisions 바카라사이트y are about to make," he added.
