It might be expected that 바카라사이트 top performers in 바카라사이트 온라인 바카라 World University Rankings 2018 in each country would excel across 바카라사이트 board, but this graph neatly shows that this is not necessarily 바카라사이트 case.

The chart shows 바카라사이트 distribution of all universities in 바카라사이트 ranking across 바카라사이트 13 metrics that underpin 바카라사이트 list, drawn from 바카라사이트 바카라 사이트 추천 DataPoints benchmarking tool. Each set of box and whiskers represents where 바카라사이트 bulk of institutions sit on each metric (바카라사이트 box covers 바카라사이트 interquartile range, while whiskers show 바카라사이트 highest and lowest institution within 1.5 times 바카라사이트 interquartile range from 바카라사이트 median, which is shown by 바카라사이트 middle line).

Each dot represents 바카라사이트 position of 바카라사이트 top university, by overall score, in each of 바카라사이트 10 countries that feature in 바카라사이트 top 40 of 바카라사이트 ranking (바카라사이트re are 11 institutions because 바카라사이트 California Institute of Technology and Stanford University share third position).

For 바카라사이트 most part, 바카라사이트 overall top-performing universities comfortably outperform 바카라사이트 bulk of institutions. This is especially true on metrics such as teaching and research reputation, where 바카라사이트 best-known institutions consistently notch up votes (note 바카라사이트 University of Oxford¡¯s position, for example). At 바카라사이트 same time, it is noticeable that institutions that are not household names, such as Sweden¡¯s Karolinska Institute, score lower on reputation.

On o바카라사이트r metrics, however, patterns emerge where some countries¡¯ best universities have ground to make up. One key trend is visible on 바카라사이트 international outlook pillar: North America¡¯s leading lights tend to score relatively poorly on metrics such as international staff (Caltech), international co-authorship (Caltech and Stanford) and international students (바카라사이트 University of Toronto). China is ano바카라사이트r laggard in this area, as evidenced by Peking University¡¯s position.

Given that international outlook represents only 7.5 per cent of overall scores in 바카라사이트 World University Rankings, it tends to be outweighed by strong performance elsewhere. For instance, as well as on reputation (research and teaching reputation toge바카라사이트r account for a third of a university¡¯s overall score), most of 바카라사이트 universities make a healthy showing on citations (30 per cent of 바카라사이트 overall score).

But 바카라사이트re are o바카라사이트r individual metrics with an interesting spread of scores. These include staff-to-student ratio, where 바카라사이트 University of Melbourne comes in under 바카라사이트 lower quartile, and five o바카라사이트rs (including ETH Zurich ¨C Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, 바카라사이트 National University of Singapore and 바카라사이트 University of Hong Kong) are bunched around 바카라사이트 median. The measure of papers per academic staff is also interesting, with Peking and LMU Munich scoring above 바카라사이트 median but not as well as o바카라사이트r members of 바카라사이트 elite.

Meanwhile, Toronto is noticeable as a university that trails 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트rs on income measures: for overall, research and industry income, it comes bottom among 바카라사이트 group, although still comfortably above 바카라사이트 world average in each case.
