The Senior HEON Officer will lead and oversee &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; delivery of HEON’s programme of outreach activity, delivered to nearby schools, colleges and in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; community. This will include ensuring &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; impactful delivery of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; programme, as well as delivering a range of outreach activities. The post will manage links and communications with our partner schools.

The post line-manages HEON’s Graduate Outreach Assistant, and works closely to oversee &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; delivery of externally based HEON Partner Officers.

Description

The Public Health Research Center (PHRC) at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a Research Assistant Bioinformatician with experience in population genetics and machine learning to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in bioinformatics, whole-genome sequencing data analysis and predictive modelling. The role offers &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment alongside epidemiologists, geneticists and computational biologists. The PHRC is focused on understanding &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; factors influencing health outcomes and traits related to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; most common non-communicable diseases in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; UAE. This is achieved by investigating and integrating diverse data sources, including epidemiological, clinical, genetic, and multi-omic data. The successful candidate will benefit from &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; support of established Core Bioinformatics and Sequencing Platforms and High-Performance Computing facilities.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computational Biology. Excellent experimental and in silico skills relevant to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; project (in particular genomics and bioinformatics), and strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, Bash, Java, C++), are also required.
