The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Cloud Computing and Data Analytics. Candidates must hold a PhD in this field or a closely related field with a strong research background. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes.

Teaching Responsibilities

In &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; role of a lecturer, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will teach graduate courses in MCS and undergraduate courses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; CSE bachelor program. The expected workload for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes).

Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following modules:

	Computer Network – 1?
	Computer Network – 2?
	Distributed Systems?
	Fundamental courses in related areas?

Research Responsibilities

As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; scientific profile of VGU through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of cloud data analytics (ranging from scalable storage, integration, making sense of data to visualization), cloud computing, and edge computing. The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

Qualification

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as will experience and understanding of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German higher education system and methodology. O&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r requirements include:


	?An outstanding academic record with a focus on data analytics and cloud?computing or o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r areas closely related to it?
	Proven expertise in cloud technologies and data analytics using cloud-based?platforms and tools?

	Proven teaching experience with strong self-motivation combined with a passion?for teaching and research?
	Experience in industry is an advantage ?

About &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Role

You'll be part of a research team focused on large-scale structural testing of aircraft components. You'll support &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; chief investigator in delivering high-quality reports, preparing publications, and helping to share &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; findings through conferences and journals. As your experience grows, you'll take on more responsibility and contribute more independently to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; research program. To be successful for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level A Industry Research Assistant appointment, you will have (but not limited to):


	Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field.
	Experience and/or understanding of structures and materials testing, preferably large-scale testing.
	Experience and/or understanding of basic test concepts such as load cells, actuators, strain gauges and hydraulic systems.
	Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
	Ability to build effective networks and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
	Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.
	Demonstrated high level communication skills.


To be successful for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level B Industry Research Fellow appointment you have (but not limited to):


	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs as evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates.
	Experience and/or understanding of structures and materials testing, preferably large-scale testing.
	Experience and/or understanding of basic test concepts such as load cells, actuators, strain gauges and hydraulic systems.
	Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
	Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry, toge&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.


Mandatory Qualifications

For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level A Industry Research Assistant:


	Qualification in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; relevant discipline area preferably at postgraduate level


For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level B Industry Research Fellow: 


	PhD or equivalent in relevant field


Additional Requirements

All applicants must be able to gain a baseline Defence security clearance (Australian citizens only).

Successful applicants will also be required to complete:

	AGSVA security clearance
	Mandatory compliance training

Platforms Division's (PD) Structures and Materials Test Centre (SMTC) is a national asset, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; largest and best-equipped facility of its type in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Asia Pacific. The SMTC has, in 70+ years of operations, accumulated an impressive record of accomplishment of research and client outcomes. The latter, when measured in repair/refurbishment cost avoidance terms alone, exceeds $1 billion over several programs. The facility retains strong Defence client support and has an active ongoing research program in structures and materials experimentation.

The SMTC provides Defence clients with innovative testing solutions to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir sustainment and certification requirements and is a key driver of academic research and training of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; future Defence Industry science, engineering and technical workforce.
