SIT Engineering Cluster focusses on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; five key pillars of Applied Research (i) Infrastructure (Maintenance) (ii) Sustainability (Built Environment) (iii) Energy Resilience (iv) Maritime Engineering and (v) Advanced Manufacturing, working with various industry sectors in Singapore as well as in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; region.

Essential


	Academic and/or industrial experience in engineering solutions for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; aquaculture industry
	Expertise in some or any of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; areas of systems engineering, robotics, automation, IOT, and data analytics
	Experience and knowledgeable in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field of aquaculture, with basic knowledge of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; related sciences

This is an exciting position?where &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will have &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuro-psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; application of cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques (such as fMRI) to investigate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; neural substrates underpinning &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;rapeutic effects of cannabinoids. As part of this role, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; appointed person will be involved in ongoing or planned randomised clinical trial/s and/ or pharmacological challenge studies.

The position is ideally suited for specialty trainees (from Psychiatry/ Neurology /Geriatric Medicine) interested in developing experience and skills in clinical trials or clinical research, in addition to gaining valuable experience in neuroimaging and neuropsychopharmacology.

The successful applicant will play a key role in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; assessment and monitoring of patients taking part in ongoing studies and along with a team of researchers will contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; collection of clinical trial and neuroimaging data. The applicant will receive appropriate training and supervision relevant to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir role and will work closely with o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r research and clinical staff working on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; project/s, fostering effective working relationships with appropriate local services (e.g., Parkinson’s clinics at King’s College Hospital and Liaison and Geriatric Psychiatry at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust). ?

The person will be based in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department of Psychosis Studies, School of Academic Psychiatry, IoPPN at KCL and will work closely with Prof Sagnik Bhattacharyya (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-sagnikbhattacharyya) and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r investigators based at King’s College London, in particular Dr Latha Velayudhan (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-latha-velayudhan), based in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Psychological Medicine department at King’s College London. This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The Electric Drives Group is now looking for postdoctoral researchers in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following fields:


	Electric machine drives
	Power converters (emphasis on grid-connected and hydrogen systems)
	Physics-informed AI applied to machine drives and power converters


Your role

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will advance next-generation technologies in electric machine drives and power converters. Your research will be tailored to your expertise, spanning from hardware design to system-level optimization and control methods. For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; AI position, you will develop machine learning models that incorporate physical principles of machine drives and converters. You will also have opportunities to contribute to our open-source computational tools, teach master-level courses, and advise doctoral students. Our strong industry connections will provide you with opportunities to see your research implemented in real-world applications.

Your background and expertise

For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; electric machine drives and power converter positions, you should have a recent doctoral degree in electrical engineering, control engineering, or a related field. For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; physics-informed AI position, a doctoral degree in computer science or applied ma&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;matics is also acceptable. The successful candidate will have expertise at least in one of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;se areas:


	Theoretical understanding and hands-on experience with electric machine drives or power converters
	Control engineering (experience with nonlinear systems is a plus)
	Machine learning and deep learning in context of physical systems


Programming skills are required, with Python experience preferred. A good command of written and spoken English is essential for our international research environment. We value candidates who are collaborative team players, intellectually curious, and open to exploring new research directions. A track record of publications in recognized journals and conferences in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field is expected.

? Scientific environment

The Electric Drives Group conducts cutting-edge research on electric machine drives and power converters. Our work spans from fundamental modelling and analysis to advanced control design and system optimization. Our specialty is developing embedded control, estimation, and identification algorithms that directly interface with physical hardware. We work closely with industry partners. Our research has led to several methods now used in commercial products. We are part of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Research Council of Finland Centre of Excellence in High-Speed Electromechanical Energy Conversion Systems, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Finnish Center of Artificial Intelligence (FCAI) Special Interest Group in Energy, and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Aalto University Hydrogen Innovation Centre.

The expected starting salary for a postdoctoral researcher is approximately 4,000 €/month and salary will increase with responsibilities and performance over time.
