The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Building Physics. Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree (but having a PhD is a significant advantage) in Architecture with strong expertise in Building Climatology or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Teaching Responsibilities

In &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; role of a lecturer, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Architecture Program (ARC). The expected workload for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; in-class lecture conduction is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following modules:


	Building Climatology I?
	Building Climatology II?
	Studio Project I?
	Elective I


The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; programs and joint agreement between &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may require conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects.

The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor’s &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Architecture field.

Research Responsibilities

As a faculty member of a research-oriented university, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate is expected to significantly contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; scientific profile of VGU through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of Building Physics in Architecture. The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; development of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Architecture Program by participating in administrative, marketing and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r public activities of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; program in consultation with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Academic Coordinator of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; study program and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German partner university, namely Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. Qualification

Candidates must at least hold a Master's degree (having a PhD is a significant advantage) in Architecture or a closely related field, preferably from a well known international university. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as experience and understanding of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German higher education system and methodology. The Applied Research Fellowship aims to provide doctoral candidates who are about to complete or have recently completed &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir studies an opportunity to engage in advanced training and/or research at an overseas university for one year.?

Besides financial support, awardees will also receive academic mentorship.?

Upon completion of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Fellowship, awardees will be considered for Assistant Professorship.

	Excellent academic record plus a high degree of proficiency and motivation for selected research area?
	Have been accepted or have applied for a postdoctoral training at a leading overseas university in a research area that is aligned with SIT’s supported areas?
	A keen interest in an academic career

The fellowship is tenable for one year. On an exception basis, a two-year programme may be supported.

The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Computer Science and Machine Learning. Candidates must hold a PhD in this field or a closely related field with a strong research background. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes.

Teaching Responsibilities

In &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; role of a lecturer, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will teach graduate courses in MCS and undergraduate courses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; CSE bachelor program. The expected workload for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following modules:


	Introduction to Computer Science?
	Introduction to Data Science and Artificial Intelligence?
	Current Topics in Computer Science?
	Statistics?
	Fundamental courses in related areas


The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; programs and joint agreement between &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching. Courses may requires conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects.

The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor’s and master’s &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ses and mentoring PhD students.

Research Responsibilities

We expect &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate, as a research-oriented university faculty member, to significantly contribute to VGU's scientific profile through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of pattern recognition, machine learning (including generative models and neural network architectures), and natural language processing (including large language models). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; development of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Computer Science Program by participating in administrative, marketing and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r public activities of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; program in consultation with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Academic Coordinator of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; study program and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German partner university, namely Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She or he is also expected to contribute actively to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; academic self administration of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Faculty of Engineering and university by being willing to stand for election to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Faculty Council, Academic Senate and/or o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r bodies.

Qualification

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. A current title of Professor will be a plus, as will experience and understanding of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German higher education system and methodology. O&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r requirements include:


	An outstanding academic record with a focus on machine learning, computer?vision, natural language processing, pattern recognition or o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r areas closely?related to it?
	Proven expertise in techniques for natural language processing and pattern?recognition?
	Strong track record of successful research activities and publications in?international and peer-reviewed journals in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; related area?
	Proven teaching experience with strong self-motivation combined with a passion?for teaching and research?
	Experience in industry is an advantage ?
	Proven excellent English proficiency:?
	Candidates who are from non-native English-speaking countries should include?one of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following valid English proficiency certificates; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL?548(PBT), TOEFL 84 (iBT), TOEFL 212 (CBT), CEFR level B2 or Aptis level?C1 at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; time of application submission.
