Teaching Responsibilities

Courses may requires conducting relevant laboratory activities and/or advising student projects.

The holder of this job is also responsible for supervising bachelor’s and master’s &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ses and mentoring PhD students.

Research Responsibilities

We expect &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate, as a research-oriented university faculty member, to significantly contribute to VGU's scientific profile through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of pattern recognition, machine learning (including generative models and neural network architectures), and natural language processing (including large language models). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; development of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Computer Science Program by participating in administrative, marketing and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r public activities of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; program in consultation with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Academic Coordinator of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; study program and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; German partner university, namely Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. Qualification

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. Awardees may receive research grants to help build a competitive research portfolio. Upon completion of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; award, awardees will be considered for Assistant Professorship.

The Future Technologies cluster is based in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Melbourne CBD and is a multi-award-winning department, which focuses on engineering and information technology.

As a VE, Teacher specialising in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, you will focus on teaching course content, evaluating student performance and competency, and overseeing students in various courses within &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Future Technologies cluster. You will be at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; forefront of ensuring &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; students' ability to ensure safety and reliability of aviation technology, inspections and diagnostics of aircraft systems, and staying up to date with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; latest advancements in aviation technology.

Your role will be supported by engaging in activities that ensure your vocational expertise aligns with or surpasses &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; level of education you are providing and assessing.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:


	Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; use of flexible teaching methods.
	Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment related to aircraft maintenance engineering. For example: WHS procedures, self-management, technical communication, computer applications, aircraft configuration, engineering materials, ma&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;matical applications, environmental sustainability, maintenance supervision, airworthiness management.
	Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; education level being delivered and assessed.
	Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
	Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.
	Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
	Demonstrated skills in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; use of relevant information and communication technologies.


Mandatory Qualifications:


	Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
	A qualification in aeronautical or aircraft maintenance engineering
