You will take a leading role in securing &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Secure Data Research Environment, providing specialist expertise in information and cyber security to protect sensitive research data and ensure compliance with security standards. You will work closely with colleagues across &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University to monitor and analyse security systems, respond to incidents, address vulnerabilities, and implement security measures.

You will also be responsible for supporting &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University’s preparation for and maintenance of cyber security accreditations, including Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO/IEC 27001.

The role is currently remote with future flexible options.

The interviews are expected to be held in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; week commencing &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 14th?July.?

What you’ll do

· Work with colleagues from &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University to Lead efforts for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Secure Data Research Environments Cyber Security accreditations (e.g., Cyber Essentials/Plus, ISO/IEC 27001), coordinating audits, managing documentation, and implementing remedial actions.

· Provide support in maintaining security operations by managing and updating security policies and procedures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and implementing security patches and updates.

· Oversee remediation of risks from security scans and tests, ensuring alignment with risk appetite before production. Conduct risk assessments for on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions, identifying control gaps and residual risks using frameworks (e.g., CIS Top 18, NIST Cyber Security Framework, ISO 27001).

· Lead on efforts relating to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Secure Data Research Environments Cyber Security accreditations, including Cyber Essentials/Plus and ISO/IEC 27001.

· Provide expert guidance on policies, standards, industry regulations, and best practices. Offer consultation on Secure by Design principles and information assurance. Develop IA strategies, policies, and awareness programs.

· Identify, analyse, and evaluate information risks across various projects and systems. Communicate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; causes, likelihood, and impacts of information risks to stakeholders.

· Maintain awareness of evolving cyber security and regulatory landscapes to inform risk management and governance.

What you’ll bring:

· Experience of information and cyber security within a large organisation.

· Knowledge of current information and cyber security issues and opportunities, including knowledge of security frameworks.

· Experience of with security tooling, particularly within a mixed Windows, Linux, Mac and Cloud environment.

· The ability to present your ideas and your specialist area, to a wide and potentially non-technical audience.

· The integrity required to work with both commercially sensitive and personally identifiable information.

Flinders University International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing (ICPOCT) is seeking a Scientific Officer to assist in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; coordination of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Rapid Applied Research Translation (RART) and First Nations Molecular POCT Program, which provides molecular point-of-care testing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services across Australia. About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	A Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience
	Experience of routine microbial pathology testing and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; relevant national/international standards and testing requirements
	Demonstrated experience in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; delivery and management of molecular-based point-of-care testing, including GeneXpert devices
	Ability to develop and deliver a wide range of training resources and quality management activities.
	Demonstrated practical experience in training health professionals

The International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing work collaboratively with national and international partners to improve health care, access to pathology testing, and improve health outcomes.

The Centre works to translate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; national research and teaching expertise in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field of community based POC Testing to o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r national and international audiences, and as a result, build &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; capacity of rural and remote communities globally (particularly Indigenous communities) to develop solutions to improve both health service delivery and patient outcomes in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; design, development and delivery of PC teaching and learning experience for students on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; BM5 programme on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; new revalidated curriculum which is launching September 2025.

As &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; post holder, you will also contribute to help &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; development and delivery of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; PC subject teaching across &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Batchelor of Medicine programmes and will help students meet &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; General Medical Council’s learning outcomes relating to PC as in “Outcomes for Graduates 2018”.
