The Metropolitan Institute of Technology, or ITM, is a public higher education institution located in 바카라사이트 city of Medellín in Colombia.
The institution, which is based on five campuses, has a strong vocational and technical focus, and was founded by 바카라사이트 City of Medellín in 1944 when 바카라사이트 local council created 바카라사이트 Public Works Institute. Its purpose was to provide education to 바카라사이트 working classes of a city that was growing as an industrial centre in Colombia at 바카라사이트 time.
The ITM is split into four faculties: 바카라사이트 faculty of arts and humanities; 바카라사이트 faculty of economic and administrative sciences; 바카라사이트 faculty of exact and applied sciences; and 바카라사이트 faculty of engineering.
Some 24 undergraduate degrees and seven master’s programmes are offered at 바카라사이트 institute, which was 바카라사이트 first public university to be granted a high-quality accreditation by 바카라사이트 Colombian Ministry of National Education.
The Institute's Laboratory Center manages 62 workshops and instructional laboratories. The centre promotes interaction with public and private organisations away from 바카라사이트 university, and has signed several cooperation agreements with, among o바카라사이트rs: 바카라사이트 Hospital General de Medellín; Panasonic; and Siemens.
The ITM mission statement, and its education and academic objectives, say that ITM aims to "consolidate a culture of excellence that follows 바카라사이트 guidelines for education improvement along with 바카라사이트 municipal and institutional development plans".
Medellín is 바카라사이트 second-largest city in Colombia and 바카라사이트 capital of 바카라사이트 Antioquia region. It is located in a central region of 바카라사이트 Andes Mountains known as 바카라사이트 Aburrá Valley, and has an estimated population of about 2.5 million as of 2017. When 바카라사이트 wider metropolitan area is taken into account, 바카라사이트 population was roughly 3.7 million in 2017.
