Kabarak University was set up by Daniel Arap Moi, previous president of Kenya in 2002. His son Gideon, previously pro-chancellor and already an honorary graduate, succeeded him as chancellor.

The university offers a range of sports clubs for students to get involved with including football, basketball, netball and volleyball.
The main campus is a 240 hectare former farm, while a new city campus was opened in 2022 to replace 바카라사이트 previous city campus.
