The Cluster involves more than 30 researchers from four academic institutions (Austrian Academy of Sciences,?University of Vienna,?Central European University,?University of Innsbruck). The Cluster explores original-language sources in dozens of languages with a view towards addressing issues of contemporary relevance - diversity, mobility, identity - in historical perspective, pursuing comparative questions and stressing forms of connectivity in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; realms of culture and religion, economy and politics, across Eurasia. The School of Engineering at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University of Surrey is seeking to recruit a full-time postdoctoral Research Fellow in LCA and Engineering Biology to work under &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; leadership of Prof Jhuma Sadhukhan (fixed term contract up to early 2029).

The primary objective of this role is to conduct comprehensive research focusing on techno-economic analysis and life cycle sustainability assessment including life cycle assessment, life cycle costing and social life cycle assessment of metal recovery and circular economy through engineering biology. The role will also explore AI for biodiversity and environmental modelling.?

The successful candidate will study &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; sustainability of systems and combine it with AI for intelligent decision-support tools. You will develop &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; above methodologies for plausible metal bioleaching, biorecovery, bioprocessing, biosensing and bioremediation and compare &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;m against conventional systems and conduct &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir uncertainty analysis. You will create AI models with large-scale biodiversity and environmental parameter samples.
