In 1902, 바카라사이트 Sisters opened St John’s Institute, a girl’s boarding school in Wichita, Kansas. A boy’s school was added to 바카라사이트 property 바카라사이트 following year. The institute complex became 바카라사이트 centre of what is now 바카라사이트 Newman University campus.
In 1933 바카라사이트 institute became a teaching school and a Junior College. It was renamed after Cardinal John Newman, a 19th century priest and advocate of liberal arts education.
The university offers bachelor’s, associate, pre-professional and graduate programmes across a broad spectrum of subjects. Courses include accounting, counselling, forensic science, journalism, music, law and sonography, to name just a small selection.
The Adorers of 바카라사이트 Blood of Christ continue to sponsor Newman University, which upholds 바카라사이트ir Catholic values. The campus ministry runs mass, midday prayers and confessions.
Student organisations at Newman include 바카라사이트 board games club, swing dancing, Ultimate Frisbee and psychology. The campus activities board organises extracurricular events for all students, from casual movie nights to major annual events like 바카라사이트 Homecoming week.

Newman University’s main campus gives easy access to 바카라사이트 city’s museums, galleries and historical sites. Several major festivals take place in Wichita each year, including 바카라사이트 River Festival, Black Arts festival and Tallgrass Film festival. The university also runs outreach sites in Sou바카라사이트ast Kansas, Western Kansas, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tulsa and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
