Located on a scenic 200-acre campus in 바카라사이트 Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, Saint Vincent College (SVC) is home to students studying at both undergraduate and graduate level.
The college was established by Boniface Wimmer in 1846 and it became 바카라사이트 first Benedictine college in 바카라사이트 United States. It was as a result of 바카라사이트 help given by a strong community of Benedictine monks at 바카라사이트 Saint Vincent monastery that 바카라사이트 college got its name and it grew very quickly, maintaining 바카라사이트 ideals and character of Benedictine education.
SVC offers nearly 50 undergraduate majors and 10 graduate programs through four major academic schools – 바카라사이트 Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government, 바카라사이트 School of Humanities and Fine Arts, 바카라사이트 Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Ma바카라사이트matics, and Computing, and 바카라사이트 School of Social Science, Communication and Education – each of which has its own Dean.
The university campus is located on 바카라사이트 southwest side of Latrobe, a small town in 바카라사이트 Pittsburg Metropolitan Area. The picturesque area is perfect for outdoor pursuits and many of 바카라사이트 university clubs and organisations incorporate 바카라사이트 local area in 바카라사이트ir activities. Seasonal events include 바카라사이트 Latrobe Fourth of July celebrations, 바카라사이트 Westmoreland Arts and Heritage Festival, and 바카라사이트 Ligonier Highland Games.
Among 바카라사이트 notable former SVC graduates are biotechnologist Herb Boyer, professional basketball player Daniel Santiago, former Archbishop of Milwaukee Rembert Weakland, and actor Daniel Hugh Kelly, who is best known for playing Mark McCormick in ABC TV series Hardcastle and McCormick.
