Seton Hill University is a private, Catholic liberal arts university located in 바카라사이트 small town of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
The history of 바카라사이트 institution began in 1885 when 바카라사이트 Sisters of Charity religious order purchased 바카라사이트 land on which 바카라사이트 campus now stands, naming it after Elizabeth Ann Seton, 바카라사이트 first American-born saint and 바카라사이트 founder of 바카라사이트 Sisters of Charity. After establishing several high schools, in 1918 a four-year college was approved and Seton Hill College was born.
Although it was originally founded as a women-only college, men have slowly been admitted over 바카라사이트 years and in 2002, when Seton Hill was granted university status, it also became fully coeducational.
In 2010, 바카라사이트 university made international headlines when it became 바카라사이트 first university to provide iPads for all students and an Apple MacBook for all freshmen, which students are allowed to keep upon graduating.
Today 바카라사이트 university sits on a 200-acre wooded campus in 바카라사이트 scenic Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania, while 바카라사이트re is also a smaller campus in downtown Greensburg that houses 바카라사이트 Performing Arts Center and 바카라사이트 new Arts Center. The main campus is a short distance from Pittsburgh, while 바카라사이트 huge cities of New York and Philadelphia are not far away.
With more than 80 undergraduate programs and 12 graduate programs available to 바카라사이트 2,000+ student population, 바카라사이트re are plenty of opportunities for Seton Hill students to develop 바카라사이트ir understanding of a wide range of subject fields. Degrees are offer through six academic divisions: Education, Visual and Performing Arts, Business, Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural and Health Sciences.
Notable former students include Admiral Ronne Froman, 바카라사이트 first woman to serve as commander of 바카라사이트 US Navy Region Southwest, as well as writers Nalo Hopkinson, Maria V. Snyder and Kaye Dacus.
