Located in 바카라사이트 Somali capital city of Mogadishu ,SIMAD University was established in 1999. It was awarded with full university status in 2011. It is one of four African universities established by Direct Aid (formerly 바카라사이트 African Muslim Agency).
Faculties at 바카라사이트 university include medicine and health sciences, management sciences, accountancy, computing, social sciences, economics, education, engineering and law. There is also an English skills programme.
The university is made up of three campuses: 바카라사이트 main campus, Gahair campus and GS campus.
The majority of students study at 바카라사이트 main campus and this is also 바카라사이트 home of 바카라사이트 Institute of Modern Languages as well as 바카라사이트 administration building, ICT and exam office building, a conference hall, 바카라사이트 main library and 바카라사이트 grand mosque.
The Gahair campus is where 바카라사이트 faculties of social sciences and law are based. The GD campus is where postgraduate and evening programme students study.
There is a focus on sustainable development projects. The Institute of Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, set up in 2019, has provided many six-month training courses for unemployed graduates.
