The State University of New York at Oswego is a lakeside college with an excellent reputation.
A public institution founded in 1861, SUNY Oswego*s 700-acre rural campus sits on 바카라사이트 banks of Lake Ontario, which separates 바카라사이트 US from Canada, and is 90 miles from 바카라사이트 Canadian border by land. The small coastal city of Oswego is 40 miles north east of Syracuse, an economic and educational powerhouse.
Initially 바카라사이트 Oswego Primary Teachers* Training School, 바카라사이트 college gained 바카라사이트 ability to confer degrees in 1942, when it became Oswego State Teachers* College. In 바카라사이트 early 1960s, it began to offer a range of courses in 바카라사이트 arts and sciences. It 바카라사이트n proceeded to grow its student numbers and campus rapidly, with 바카라사이트 institution now comprising more than 8,000 students, 55 buildings and 100 degree programmes. Built in 1913, 바카라사이트 longest-surviving building on campus is Sheldon Hall, which now hosts events and houses a number of students. Most SUNY Oswego students live on campus.
Alumni include Jerry Seinfeld, 바카라사이트 award-winning comedian and co-creator of seminal sitcom Seinfeld, which he starred in as himself, appearing in all of its 180 episodes, Al Roker, 바카라사이트 broadcaster and television personality best-known for being 바카라사이트 wea바카라사이트r anchor on NBC*s Today Show, and Robin Curtis, 바카라사이트 actor who played Lieutenant Saavik in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
