About You

To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:


	Demonstrated superior ability to direct an award program/s and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.
	Nationally recognised research track record including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets and emerging international recognition.
	Extensive experience in research leadership with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ability to attract and secure external research funding to sustain research effort and manage funded research projects including complex budgets and reporting requirements.
	Extensive experience in building and developing collaborative research teams, and mentoring academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes.
	Extensive experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates to maximise research
	Demonstrated ability to lead scholarly development and manage and supervise academic teams and members.
	Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a University.
	Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills including &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, produce executive reports, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment.

	IDEA Issues - Our research advances Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) agenda across a range of organisational and societal context on topics such as migrant experience, human rights in business, cross-cultural management, and intersectionality of social identities. Our work also addresses issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r structurally marginalised or underrepresented communities.
	Social Impact - We generate positive social impacts through research that informs responsible policy and practice in areas related to work, employment, and societal wellbeing. Your role will involve assisting in-person with general user access and lending tasks, including greeting visitors and supporting membership procedures. You'll provide guidance on accessing resources, collections, and services, offer support for digital resources and printing services. Additionally, you'll address information enquiries, library account queries, book retrieval and help manage our learning spaces, ensuring a positive and inclusive library experience for everyone.

The post holder will work on campus afternoon and evening hours, Monday to Friday, throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; year. The expected working pattern is 16:00 - midnight but &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;re may be some flexibility on an individual basis (please speak to Ca&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;rine Batson?c.batson@surrey.ac.uk?if you would like to discuss this).

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, who can deal with multiple enquiries at our busy Library Welcome Desk as well as online.?

You will be proactive, well organised, reliable and a be a great communicator, delivering services with a smile. You will be able to work independently, have good IT skills, and be &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; main point of contact for any issues that arise.
