The University of Surrey is delighted to announce a renewal of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Surrey Poetry Fellowship, as part of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; institution’s longstanding commitment to establishing Guildford as a centre for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; creation, performance, publication and study of poetry.

This year’s poet in residence will build upon &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; legacy of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; university’s first teacher of poetry, Morag Morris, and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; work of previous Surrey Poetry Fellows, Amy De’Ath, Sophie Robinson, Stephen Mooney, Jessica Pujol, Nicholas Johnson, Prudence Chamberlain, Jow Lindsay-Walton, James Davies, Verity Spott, Robert Kiely, Karenjit Sandhu, Briony Hughs and Peter Jaeger.

The Poet in Residence will play a key role in organising &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Surrey Poetry Festival, will organise five or six regular poetry workshops for students and possibly o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r members of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; university and beyond, will introduce &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; guest speaker at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Morag Morris Poetry Lecture, and may participate in o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r projects within &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department. The postholder’s first objective, however, will be to write poetry which engages with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; research culture in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; department, particularly in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field of contemporary and innovative literature. The Poet in Residence will also convene and teach &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 1st Year Understanding Poetry module offered by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department of Literature and Languages.

The current expectation is that &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; post-holder will need to be present on campus to deliver &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; poetry workshops (five to six spread across both semesters) as well as to teach classes on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Understanding Poetry module on one or two mornings or afternoons per week over Semester Two (February to May 2026), as well as convening &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; module (this will involve responding to student queries about &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; module via email in a timely fashion and having a regular online office hour for student consultations). The teaching semester is 11 weeks long.

Overall, this part-time post will amount to appx 65-70 hours for poet in Residence work, plus module teaching hours over &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; course of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; academic year amounting to appx 49 hours.

An honours postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification is required. A postgraduate qualification/teaching qualification would also be desirable. Teaching experience and event management experience is essential. Good organisational and IT skills are necessary as well as &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ability to work independently.

The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Building Physics. Candidates must hold at least a Master's degree (but having a PhD is a significant advantage) in Architecture with strong expertise in Building Climatology or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Teaching Responsibilities

Research Responsibilities

Administrative responsibilities

Make a Real Impact in Defence Research

We're looking for an Industry Research Fellow or Research Assistant to join a collaborative team working on high-impact research in defence materials and structures. This role is part of a partnership between RMIT and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG), through &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Centre for Advanced Defence Structures and Materials Experimentation (CADSME).

About &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Role

You'll be part of a research team focused on large-scale structural testing of aircraft components. You'll support &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; chief investigator in delivering high-quality reports, preparing publications, and helping to share &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; findings through conferences and journals. As your experience grows, you'll take on more responsibility and contribute more independently to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; research program. To be successful for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level A Industry Research Assistant appointment, you will have (but not limited to):


	Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field.
	Experience and/or understanding of structures and materials testing, preferably large-scale testing.
	Experience and/or understanding of basic test concepts such as load cells, actuators, strain gauges and hydraulic systems.
	Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
	Ability to build effective networks and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.
	Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required.
	Demonstrated high level communication skills.


To be successful for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level B Industry Research Fellow appointment you have (but not limited to):


	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs as evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates.
	Experience and/or understanding of structures and materials testing, preferably large-scale testing.
	Experience and/or understanding of basic test concepts such as load cells, actuators, strain gauges and hydraulic systems.
	Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners.
	Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry, toge&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.


Mandatory Qualifications

For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level A Industry Research Assistant:


	Qualification in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; relevant discipline area preferably at postgraduate level


For &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Level B Industry Research Fellow: 


	PhD or equivalent in relevant field

The SMTC has, in 70+ years of operations, accumulated an impressive record of accomplishment of research and client outcomes. The latter, when measured in repair/refurbishment cost avoidance terms alone, exceeds $1 billion over several programs. The facility retains strong Defence client support and has an active ongoing research program in structures and materials experimentation.
