About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:


	A Bachelor of Medical Science or equivalent degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience
	Experience of routine microbial pathology testing and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; relevant national/international standards and testing requirements
	Demonstrated experience in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; delivery and management of molecular-based point-of-care testing, including GeneXpert devices

The International Centre for Point-of-Care Testing work collaboratively with national and international partners to improve health care, access to pathology testing, and improve health outcomes.

The Centre works to translate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; national research and teaching expertise in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; field of community based POC Testing to o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r national and international audiences, and as a result, build &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; capacity of rural and remote communities globally (particularly Indigenous communities) to develop solutions to improve both health service delivery and patient outcomes in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir communities.

The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Computer Science and Machine Learning. Candidates must hold a PhD in this field or a closely related field with a strong research background. Relevant international experience is an advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes.

Teaching Responsibilities

In &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; role of a lecturer, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will teach graduate courses in MCS and undergraduate courses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; CSE bachelor program. The expected workload for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; in-class lecture conduct is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Research Responsibilities

We expect &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate, as a research-oriented university faculty member, to significantly contribute to VGU's scientific profile through innovation. This includes and is not limited to comprehensive activities in basic research as well as applied research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of pattern recognition, machine learning (including generative models and neural network architectures), and natural language processing (including large language models). The ability to apply and generate externally funded research projects is highly desirable.

Administrative responsibilities

Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, preferably from a well-known international university. The Early Career Awards (ECA) are designed to support Singaporeans who have recently completed &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir postdoctoral training and prepare &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;m for an academic career at SIT. This award aims to enhance &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; teaching capabilities of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; recipient and help build a strong research portfolio.

Benefits

Awardees may receive research grants to help build a competitive research portfolio. Upon completion of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; award, awardees will be considered for Assistant Professorship.

Awardees will also be assigned a faculty mentor for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; duration of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; scheme.

Application Process


	Applications are open throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; year. Applications received before 15 January 2026 will be considered for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 2026 intake.?
	Interview by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; respective clusters for shortlisted applicants will be conducted throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; year.?
	Final Interview by Panel for shortlisted applicants will take place from March to April 2026.
	Awards for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 2026 intake will be finalised by July 2026.
