This is a hybrid role with an expectation of spending a minimum of 1-2 days per week on campus.

About you

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced individual with project management experience. Experience of working in HE is also an advantage. You’ll have experience of building relationships and contacts with a wide variety of colleagues and will demonstrate personal credibility when dealing with senior stakeholders. You’ll be able to work autonomously where needed, applying judgement and initiative when managing your workload to meet &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; long-term objectives of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; project.

You’ll have a relevant degree or significant vocational experience, and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ideal candidate will also have a project management qualification.

This is an exciting position?where &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will have &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuro-psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; application of cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques (such as fMRI) to investigate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; neural substrates underpinning &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;rapeutic effects of cannabinoids. The position is ideally suited for specialty trainees (from Psychiatry/ Neurology /Geriatric Medicine) interested in developing experience and skills in clinical trials or clinical research, in addition to gaining valuable experience in neuroimaging and neuropsychopharmacology.

The successful applicant will play a key role in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; assessment and monitoring of patients taking part in ongoing studies and along with a team of researchers will contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; collection of clinical trial and neuroimaging data. This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The discipline of Medical Radiations contributes to teaching and research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine, in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. Applications are invited for appointment as?Post-doctoral Fellow in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine?(Ref.: 532265), to commence as soon as possible for two or three years, with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

These posts are created specifically to bring new impetus and talent to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University’s research enterprise, and to meet &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; strategic research needs identified by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department of Microbiology. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree with extensive research experience in virology or biochemistry; expertise in virus-host proteome and antiviral drug development will be an advantage.?The appointees will conduct research projects related to influenza virus and coronavirus under &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; supervision of Dr. Shuofeng Yuan.
