About You

The Associate Professor will provide leadership and foster excellence in teaching and research efforts of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; School and within &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; University. More specifically, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Associate Professor is expected to make innovative and distinguished contributions to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; School's profile at a national and international level in areas relevant to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir discipline (Management/Leadership/Organisational Behaviour).

The Associate Professor will make a significant contribution to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; planning and strategic direction of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; School, taking on strategic academic leadership roles for learning and teaching or research and scholarship. To be successful in this position, you will have as a minimum:


	Demonstrated superior ability to direct an award program/s and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.
	Nationally recognised research track record including substantial record of research outputs in high quality outlets and emerging international recognition.
	Extensive experience in research leadership with &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ability to attract and secure external research funding to sustain research effort and manage funded research projects including complex budgets and reporting requirements.
	Extensive experience in building and developing collaborative research teams, and mentoring academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes.
	Extensive experience in supervising higher degree by research candidates to maximise research
	Demonstrated ability to lead scholarly development and manage and supervise academic teams and members.
	Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to financial, governance and quality management systems within a University.

	IDEA Issues - Our research advances Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) agenda across a range of organisational and societal context on topics such as migrant experience, human rights in business, cross-cultural management, and intersectionality of social identities. Our work also addresses issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, individuals from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r structurally marginalised or underrepresented communities.
	Social Impact - We generate positive social impacts through research that informs responsible policy and practice in areas related to work, employment, and societal wellbeing. In research, SIT faculty aims to bridge &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; gap between?knowledge creation and utilisation. Our faculty work?closely with industry on translational research and innovation, focusing on addressing significant?industry challenges to positively?impact businesses.

The Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent (START) Scheme is co-funded by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Ministry of Education (MOE) and SIT to encourage and support exceptional?Singaporeans who are?interested in pursuing an academic career at SIT.

The Applied Research Fellowship aims to provide doctoral candidates who are about to complete or have recently completed &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir studies an opportunity to engage in advanced training and/or research at an overseas university for one year.?

Besides financial support, awardees will also receive academic mentorship.?

Upon completion of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Fellowship, awardees will be considered for Assistant Professorship.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria


	Singapore citizen?
	Doctoral candidates who have recently completed or are about to complete &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir studies in a discipline under &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; supported areas for START below?
	Excellent academic record plus a high degree of proficiency and motivation for selected research area?
	Have been accepted or have applied for a postdoctoral training at a leading overseas university in a research area that is aligned with SIT’s supported areas?
	A keen interest in an academic career


Value of Fellowship?

The Fellowship provides?


	Monthly stipend?
	Overseas maintenance allowance?
	Return economy airfare?
	Conference and fieldwork grants?
	Overseas medical insurance?


Fellows will also each be assigned a SIT faculty mentor throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir post-doctoral training and have opportunities to participate in faculty development programmes.

The fellowship is tenable for one year. On an exception basis, a two-year programme may be supported.

Service Commitment

One year for every year of sponsorship.

	Applications are open throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; year. Applications received before 15 January 2026 will be considered for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 2026 intake.??
	Interview by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; respective clusters for shortlisted applicants will be conducted throughout &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; year.??
	Final Interview by &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Panel for shortlisted applicants for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; 2026 intake will commence in Mid-March to End April 2026.?
	Awards will be finalised by July 2026.

	Financial and Sustainability Accounting:?The measurement, reporting, and analysis of an organisation's financial performance alongside its environmental, social, and governance (ESG)?and carbon footprint. Integrating traditional financial accounting principles with sustainability considerations to provide stakeholders with a more comprehensive view of a company's long-term value creation.?
	Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE):?The planning, management, and execution of business events, corporate ga&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;rings, and large-scale conferences. This field is a key segment of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; tourism and hospitality industry, requiring expertise in event management, business tourism, marketing, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.
