The concept of a Vietnamese-German University was developed in 2005 and officially founded three years later in 2008. Its aim was to become Vietnam’s leading research university that specialises in engineering, technology and economics. It was developed in close partnership with German higher education institutions.
The university’s main campus is located in Binh Duong, and its second in Ho Chi Minh City. As a Vietnamese-German institution, it collaborates with its 36 German partner universities.
