About You

In this role, you'll be teaching and mentoring &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; next generation of nuclear medicine professionals while also contributing to research and staying closely connected with industry. As a Lecturer, Medical Radiation Science (Nuclear Medicine), you'll play a key part in program delivery, curriculum development, and academic leadership within your area of practice.

You'll be an active member of &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; broader medical radiations community, building and maintaining strong industry relationships that benefit both your teaching and student experience. You'll work closely with colleagues in a collaborative teaching environment and keep students and peers up to date with developments in your field. There may also be opportunities to take on course coordination responsibilities, depending on your experience and interests.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:


	Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate level, including online delivery, and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials.
	Ability to undertake course coordination role.
	Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning.
	Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas evidenced by publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links.
	Ability to build effective networks with colleagues and generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government.

Qualifications

Mandatory:


	PhD in a related field or approved AQF equivalency with relevant industry experience (a minimum of seven years of full-time practice or equivalent for appointment at level B).

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences is comprised of three Academic areas, Allied Health, Applied Health, and Biomedical Sciences. Discipline of Medical Radiations

The discipline of Medical Radiations contributes to teaching and research in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; fields of Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, and Nuclear Medicine, in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; School of Health and Biomedical Sciences. The undergraduate program enables graduates to be eligible for registration to practice as Radiographers, Radiation Therapists, or Nuclear Medicine Technologists in Australia under AHPRA.

The program is structured to integrate foundation sciences, clinical sciences, and clinical skills to produce capable graduates who can practice as healthcare professionals with skills relevant to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir stream. There is also a strong focus on Work Integrated Learning to ensure students are exposed to real-life clinical scenarios from &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; time &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;y begin &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir studies within &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; discipline. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in Building Construction. Candidates must hold a Master’s or PhD degree in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is of advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes.

Teaching Responsibilities

In &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; role of a lecturer, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Architecture Program (ARC). The expected workload for &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; in-class lecture conduction is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes).

Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures mainly on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; following modules:

Research Responsibilities

This is an exciting position?where &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; successful candidate will have &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; opportunity to work as part of an internationally leading team of researchers investigating biological bases of neuro-psychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders and &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of treatments. The team has a particular interest in investigating &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; mechanism of action of cannabinoids and a key component of this program of work will involve &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; application of cutting-edge neuroimaging techniques (such as fMRI) to investigate &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; neural substrates underpinning &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; harmful effects of recreational cannabis use as well as potential &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;rapeutic effects of cannabinoids. As part of this role, &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; appointed person will be involved in ongoing or planned randomised clinical trial/s and/ or pharmacological challenge studies.

The position is ideally suited for specialty trainees (from Psychiatry/ Neurology /Geriatric Medicine) interested in developing experience and skills in clinical trials or clinical research, in addition to gaining valuable experience in neuroimaging and neuropsychopharmacology.

The successful applicant will play a key role in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; assessment and monitoring of patients taking part in ongoing studies and along with a team of researchers will contribute to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; collection of clinical trial and neuroimaging data. The applicant will receive appropriate training and supervision relevant to &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir role and will work closely with o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r research and clinical staff working on &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; project/s, fostering effective working relationships with appropriate local services (e.g., Parkinson’s clinics at King’s College Hospital and Liaison and Geriatric Psychiatry at &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust). ?

The person will be based in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Department of Psychosis Studies, School of Academic Psychiatry, IoPPN at KCL and will work closely with Prof Sagnik Bhattacharyya (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/professor-sagnikbhattacharyya) and o&#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;r investigators based at King’s College London, in particular Dr Latha Velayudhan (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/people/dr-latha-velayudhan), based in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; Psychological Medicine department at King’s College London. They will also interact with clinical fellows, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working in &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944; group.?

This is a full-time, fixed term post, currently funded for 12 months with potential for extension and an anticipated start from August 2025. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop &#48148;&#52852;&#46972;&#49324;&#51060;&#53944;ir own research interests.?and apply for funding to support an MD/PhD.?

Essential criteria


	Full GMC registration (medical doctor) with valid license to practice.?
	Medical Degree with a broad range of medical knowledge?
	Knowledge of neuropsychiatric or neurodegenerative disorders.?
	? Skills and experience recruiting clinical participants for research
	Experience of multidisciplinary working?
	Self-motivated with ability to work independently and having good organizational, problem-solving and time management skills.?
	Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships?
	Prepared to travel around London


Desirable criteria


	An understanding of data protection and patient confidentiality.
	Postgraduate experience in psychiatry/neurology/dementia care
	?Knowledge &/ or Experience of working in clinical trials
	?Publication in peer reviewed scientific/medical journals
