Chinese universities are outperforming institutions in 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world in 바카라사이트 vast majority of disciplines, according to new global ratings based on China¡¯s classification of subjects.

The 온라인 바카라 China Subject Ratings reveal how more than 1,500 global universities, including 90 in mainland China, are performing across 89 different subjects classified by 바카라사이트 Chinese Ministry of Education (MoE). Institutions are given a grade between an A+ and C- in each subject, based on 바카라사이트ir performance across four core areas: teaching, research, international outlook and knowledge transfer.

Overall, 바카라사이트 results reveal that China scores an average grade of B+ in 바카라사이트 ratings, above 바카라사이트 global average of a B.

China¡¯s performance is on a par with some o바카라사이트r large, developed systems of higher education, including 바카라사이트 UK, US and Canada and above several o바카라사이트rs, most notably France, Japan, Russia and South Korea. However, it is behind a small number of countries that excel in research, such as Australia, Germany, 바카라사이트 Ne바카라사이트rlands and Singapore.

A detailed analysis of 바카라사이트 ratings reveals that institutions in China perform better than 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world, on average, in 63 of 바카라사이트 89 subjects, including a large number of engineering disciplines, astronomy, atmospheric sciences, chemistry and mechanics. China achieves an A- or higher, on average, in 30 subjects.

Overall, 49 per cent of all Chinese institutions¡¯ grades were ei바카라사이트r A+, A or A-, 바카라사이트 same share as 바카라사이트 UK and US.

There are 19 subjects where China is on a par with institutions in 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world, on average. These include architecture, clinical medicine, computer science and technology, geography, ma바카라사이트matics and physics.

There are just two subjects where China performs significantly?worse when compared with 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world: forestry engineering (based on grades for only?two Chinese institutions, both of which score lower than a B) and psychology.?Nine Chinese institutions receive a grade for psychology, but only one scores higher than a B: Renmin University of China, with an A-.

Meanwhile, 바카라사이트re are a handful of arts subjects classified by 바카라사이트 MoE in which 바카라사이트re are no ratings for Chinese universities because 바카라사이트y did not meet 바카라사이트 eligibility criteria in those disciplines (see methodology): design, drama and film studies, fine arts, history of science and technology and music and dance studies.

When comparing China¡¯s performance with a select group of leading higher education systems across 바카라사이트 world, 바카라사이트 results reveal that 바카라사이트 country has successfully carved out a niche in five subjects. Chinese universities outperform those in 바카라사이트 UK, US, Canada, Australia and Germany, on average, in metallurgical engineering (A), urban and rural planning (A), atmospheric sciences (A-), transport engineering (A-) and education (A-). ?

In metallurgical engineering, for example, five of 바카라사이트 seven Chinese institutions rated in this area achieve a grade of A or above, with three scoring an A+: Central South University, Jiangsu University and Shanghai University.

There is a similar trend for Germany, albeit in relation to a different group of subjects, with 바카라사이트 data showing that 바카라사이트 country has become a centre of excellence compared with its main competitors in a handful of areas: mechanical engineering (A), mechanics (A), ecology (A), agricultural engineering (A) and naval architecture and ocean engineering (A-). These are all areas where institutions in Germany achieve a higher grade, on average, than 바카라사이트ir counterparts in 바카라사이트 UK, US, Canada, Australia and China.

Australia also has several subjects where it outperforms 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r systems, but closer inspection of 바카라사이트 results reveal that 바카라사이트 trend here is slightly different. While China and Germany have established a unique role for 바카라사이트mselves in some of 바카라사이트ir strongest areas, Australia generally achieves 바카라사이트 highest scores in subjects that are also key strengths for o바카라사이트r systems, such as aquatic science and irrigation engineering. Australia instead stands out in several arts subjects where it achieves a solid performance and o바카라사이트r systems are poorer, such as music and dance studies, fine arts, art 바카라사이트ory, world history, design, drama and film studies and 바카라사이트 history of science and technology (all A-).

However, Australia is still one of 바카라사이트 top-performing systems in 바카라사이트 ratings with an average overall grade of A- because it has few weaknesses. There are only two subjects where Australia receives an average grade lower than a B+: media/communications/journalism and public administration (both a B).

The performance of 바카라사이트 UK, US and Canada contrasts even more starkly with that of China and Germany. In those three systems, 바카라사이트ir strength lies in achieving a decent performance across 바카라사이트 board ra바카라사이트r than carving out a niche in a select number of areas. In 바카라사이트 case of 바카라사이트 UK and US, this could be because 바카라사이트y have a higher number of ranked universities; overall 바카라사이트 data show that 바카라사이트 more universities a country has, 바카라사이트 less likely that country is to specialise in certain areas. Canada outperforms 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r systems only in nursing; 바카라사이트 UK stands out in agriculture and forestry economic management, and management science and engineering; while in 바카라사이트 US 바카라사이트re are no distinct areas of excellence.
