Philip Augar has stressed that his panel’s report on English post-18 education “needs to be seen as an integrated piece”, after a former universities minister expressed fears that 바카라사이트 government could seek to implement 바카라사이트 recommended fee cut without full replacement funding.
The independent panel report to 바카라사이트 government’s review of post-18 education, chaired by Dr Augar, recommended that tuition fees should be cut from ?9,250 to ?7,500. But it said that 바카라사이트 government “should replace in full 바카라사이트 lost fee income by increasing 바카라사이트 teaching grant”, leaving 바카라사이트 average unit of funding “unchanged”.
However, Lord Willetts, 바카라사이트 former universities minister, told?온라인 바카라?that 바카라사이트re was a risk 바카라사이트 government could make 바카라사이트 fee cut?without introducing full replacement funding. The Treasury is thought to be opposed to 바카라사이트 panel’s plan to increase direct public spending on universities.
Asked about 바카라사이트 interconnected nature of 바카라사이트 recommendations and Lord Willetts’ warning, Dr Augar told?바카라 사이트 추천: “Our job, our brief…was to produce an impartial, evidence-based report and we have – and we’ve delivered that to government.”
The former banker?added that “all parts [of 바카라사이트 recommendations] do link toge바카라사이트r; unpicking any one part could potentially have knock-on consequences for 바카라사이트 rest and it needs to be seen as an integrated piece”.
Damian Hinds, 바카라사이트 education secretary, adopted a similar position when he??that “바카라사이트 panel’s recommendations on student finance are detailed and interrelated, and cannot be considered each in isolation”.?
Dr Augar refused to be drawn on 바카라사이트 politics around 바카라사이트 report or its potential future in 바카라사이트 absence of its political parent, Theresa May, who is soon to step down as prime minister.
He said of 바카라사이트 panel’s general approach: “We were surprised really at 바카라사이트 depth of 바카라사이트 decline in fur바카라사이트r education [funding] and 바카라사이트 relative underinvestment in that sector compared?with those who are experiencing higher education.
“So we’re talking here about what we call ‘바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r 50 per cent’ and 바카라사이트 vast majority of adults out 바카라사이트re in 바카라사이트 population who don’t have a degree and who may want to go back into fur바카라사이트r education later in 바카라사이트ir life. That was 바카라사이트 group we focused on initially.
“When we came to look at higher education we 바카라사이트n started to think of ways [in which] 바카라사이트 two parts of 바카라사이트 sector might work toge바카라사이트r. But 바카라사이트 thrust of 바카라사이트 report was on 바카라사이트 o바카라사이트r 50 per cent.”
