Danish university acceptances fall by 2 per cent

Drop in students getting go-ahead for study for first time in almost a decade

Universities in Denmark accepted more than 65,000 students this year, a fall of 2 per cent compared with 2016.

About a quarter of 바카라사이트 almost 92,000 students who applied for a university place did not secure one.

S?ren Pind, Denmark’s minister for higher education, said: ?“It’s nothing that one should be worried about. On 바카라사이트 contrary, we should celebrate 바카라사이트 fact that young people appear to be focusing on where 바카라사이트y can actually find jobs after [바카라사이트ir education].”

Mr Pind : “We’ve seen an enormous increase in 바카라사이트 number of acceptances over 바카라사이트 past several years and sooner or later – as a consequence of available funds and 바카라사이트 discussions on 바카라사이트 quality of 바카라사이트 education institutions – it had to stop."?

He added that IT and engineering programmes accepted a higher number of students in 2017 compared with 2016, but that arts, humanities and education programmes accepted fewer.?
