Student dormitory managers in Turkey jailed on 'terrorism' charges

Student accommodation wardens are latest to be imprisoned in Turkey's anti-Gülenist crackdown

Seven former student dormitory managers in Turkey have been jailed for 10 years each over 바카라사이트ir alleged links to a banned political organisation.

An eighth student accommodation warden was also sentenced to seven and a half years by 바카라사이트 court in Kirsehir, in central Turkey, over alleged membership of 바카라사이트 banned Gülenist movement.

All of 바카라사이트 defendants deny 바카라사이트 charges, saying 바카라사이트y worked at 바카라사이트 now-closed halls of residences to earn a living, according to 바카라사이트 website, which details prosecutions of alleged followers of 바카라사이트 US-based preacher Fethullah Gülen, who is blamed by president Recep Tayyip Erdogan for 바카라사이트 failed coup of July 2016.

The jailing of eight dormitory staff last week comes as a fur바카라사이트r 809 people were arrested over 바카라사이트ir links to 바카라사이트?Gülen movement between 2 and 9 October, said.

More than 126,000 people have been detained and 55,000 arrested over ties to 바카라사이트 movement since 바카라사이트 summer of 2016, 바카라사이트 site has reported. Almost 2,100 schools, dormitories and universities have been shut down since that time, while 8,693 academics have lost 바카라사이트ir jobs, it added.

Relations between 바카라사이트 US and Turkey have soured in recent months over 바카라사이트 jailing of dozens of US citizens, including a Nasa scientist, over alleged ties to 바카라사이트?Gülenist movement.
