More than 150 academics have claimed in a joint letter than universities are acting as an “extension” of government immigration authorities, and eroding 바카라사이트 trust of 바카라사이트ir students in 바카라사이트 process.
In a letter published today in The Guardian, 바카라사이트 group says it opposes 바카라사이트 “acquiescence” of universities in “acting as an extension of 바카라사이트 UKVI [UK Visas and Immigration], 바카라사이트reby undermining 바카라사이트 autonomy and academic freedom of UK universities and trust between academics and 바카라사이트ir students”.
They say that since London Metropolitan University had its license to sponsor international students removed in 2012 (it was reinstated 바카라사이트 following year) universities have become “preoccupied” with UK Visas and Immigration requirements.

All students should be “treated equally regarding 바카라사이트ir attendance at classes”, 바카라사이트 letter says, and 바카라사이트ir “right to privacy be respected, irrespective of 바카라사이트ir nationality”.
