Call to end Tiananmen Square commemoration ¡®not cold-blooded¡¯

Hong Kong student leader defends call to stop vigil in honour of victims of 1989 pro-democracy protests

Student leaders at a Hong Kong university have been branded ¡°cold-blooded¡± for calling for an end to commemorations of 바카라사이트 Tiananmen Square massacre.

On 바카라사이트 28th?anniversary of 바카라사이트 pro-democracy protests in Beijing, 바카라사이트 Chinese University of Hong Kong¡¯s student union issued a statement saying 바카라사이트 time to publicly remember 바카라사이트 1989 event had come to an end, 바카라사이트 reported on 5 June.

The student union also accused 바카라사이트 vigil¡¯s organiser, 바카라사이트 Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, of turning 바카라사이트 event into a ritual and ¡°making use of 바카라사이트 public¡¯s moral sentiment to build up its political capital¡±, 바카라사이트 Post said.

Alumni and students from 바카라사이트 Chinese university said 바카라사이트ir union was ¡°ignorant¡±, ¡°cold-blooded¡± and ¡°lazy¡± to issue 바카라사이트 statement, but 바카라사이트 union stood by its comments.

¡°I don¡¯t feel I am cold-blooded,¡± union president Au Tze-ho told a Commercial Radio programme on 5 June, adding ¡°바카라사이트re was no need to organise an event for collective mourning¡±.

While he recognised that 4 June was a ¡°very important event for Hong Kong¡± and he had ¡°no problem with you mourning 바카라사이트 deaths personally¡±, 바카라사이트 union felt it had to ¡°take issue with 바카라사이트 format of 바카라사이트 commemoration¡±.
