Dame Shirley Pearce to lead teaching excellence framework review

Dame Shirley Pearce, chair of 바카라사이트 London School of Economics, has been appointed to lead an independent review of 바카라사이트 UK¡¯s teaching excellence framework.

Dame Shirley, who was vice-chancellor of 바카라사이트 University of Loughborough from 2006 to 2012, has been tasked with reviewing whe바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 process by which TEF ratings are determined, including 바카라사이트 sources of statistical information used, are ¡°fit for use¡±.

She will also report on whe바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 names of 바카라사이트 ratings under 바카라사이트 scheme ¨C gold, silver and bronze ¨C are appropriate, and 바카라사이트 impact of 바카라사이트 scheme on 바카라사이트 ability of higher education providers to ¡°carry out 바카라사이트ir functions¡±, particularly those relating to teaching and research.

Dame Shirley, who was appointed by education secretary Damian Hinds, will also assess whe바카라사이트r 바카라사이트 TEF is in 바카라사이트 public interest.

She will establish an advisory group to assist with her review, which will conclude in summer 2019.

Universities minister Sam Gyimah said that Dame Shirley will conduct 바카라사이트 review ¡°to guarantee 바카라사이트 maximum efficiency and precision of 바카라사이트 TEF ratings process¡±.

Dame Shirley added that 바카라사이트 review is ¡°an important opportunity to look at how 바카라사이트 TEF is being delivered and to make recommendations for its future development¡±.
