Ghana university closed after violent protests

Ghana šs Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has been shut after student protests at 바카라사이트 institution turned violent.

The demonstrations erupted after 11 students were arrested at an end-of-week ¡°jamboree¡±, a regular student party that had recently been banned by 바카라사이트 university.

Students described 바카라사이트 institution¡¯s response as ¡°heavy-handed¡± and accused 바카라사이트 university¡¯s security and management of brutality, 바카라사이트 .

Demonstrations against 바카라사이트 arrests turned violent, with students boycotting lectures,?mounting roadblocks?and vandalising property.

Students were told to leave 바카라사이트 campus, although international students have reportedly been given a protected space at 바카라사이트 institution. The local Ashanti Regional Security Council has ordered 바카라사이트 university to close down indefinitely.
