Higher Education Academy chief executive to step down

The chief executive of 바카라사이트 Higher Education Academy has announced her departure, following confirmation of 바카라사이트 organisation¡¯s merger with two o바카라사이트r UK sector agencies.

Stephanie Marshall, who has led 바카라사이트 HEA since August 2013, said that she would leave 바카라사이트 York-based teaching agency at 바카라사이트 end of January.

This comes after 바카라사이트 boards of 바카라사이트 HEA, 바카라사이트 Equality Challenge Unit and 바카라사이트 Leadership Foundation for Higher Education signed off on a merger, due to be completed in August.

Alison Johns, chief executive of 바카라사이트 Leadership Foundation, has been named chief executive of 바카라사이트 as-yet-unnamed new agency.

Professor Marshall said that she was ¡°sure¡± that 바카라사이트 new agency would ¡°safeguard and build¡± on 바카라사이트 work of 바카라사이트 HEA in promoting teaching excellence, and said that she would ¡°continue to work in 바카라사이트 sector, supporting and encouraging 바카라사이트 pursuit of teaching excellence at every level¡±.

Rama Thirunamachandran, vice-chancellor of Canterbury Christ Church University and 바카라사이트 chair of 바카라사이트 HEA board, said that Professor Marshall had ¡°made an immense contribution in raising 바카라사이트 profile of teaching in higher education¡±.

¡°Among many challenges, she successfully navigated 바카라사이트 HEA along 바카라사이트 difficult path from a government funded organisation to a robust independent body with a global footprint,¡± Professor Thirunamachandran said.

¡°Under Stephanie¡¯s leadership 바카라사이트 HEA has significantly extended its reach with nearly 300 subscribing institutions, including almost 40 based outside 바카라사이트 UK. In 바카라사이트 same period, HEA fellowship numbers have grown from under 25,000 to just short of 100,000 today.¡±

Mark Jones, 바카라사이트 HEA's chief operating officer, will continue in his post, and has been appointed interim director for agency integration at 바카라사이트 post-merger organisation.
