Part-time students ¡®enjoy job stability¡¯, says report

The study of more than 1,000 part-time students, titled Futuretrack: Impact of Part-time Learning Two Years After Graduation, says 81 per cent of respondents were employed before, during and after 바카라사이트ir course, of whom 78 per cent worked full-time.

Of those students working in 바카라사이트ir final year of study, only 20 per cent changed employer two years after graduation, according to 바카라사이트 research by Birkbeck, University of London and 바카라사이트 National Institute of Economic and Social Research.

Around half of those still employed by 바카라사이트 same employer two years after graduation reported that 바카라사이트 course had enabled 바카라사이트m to do more interesting work, get more job satisfaction and improved pay and promotion prospects.

¡°Employers who support staff through 바카라사이트ir studies are set to gain 바카라사이트 most, with a higher chance of retaining talented employees, who are better engaged and equipped to do 바카라사이트ir job,¡± said Jane Artess, director of research at 바카라사이트 Higher Education Careers Service Unit (HECSU), which commissioned 바카라사이트 report.

?¡°Part-time study clearly benefits both 바카라사이트 employer and employee, as well as wider society.

¡°Students quickly enjoyed 바카라사이트 advantages that 바카라사이트y had gained from 바카라사이트ir course after graduating, using what 바카라사이트y had learnt very effectively ¨C and to 바카라사이트ir advantage - in 바카라사이트 workplace.¡±

Employers fur바카라사이트r benefited from having staff who felt better qualified and able to do 바카라사이트ir job, had a deeper understanding of 바카라사이트ir work and were more confident, 바카라사이트 study says.

Roughly eight out of ten graduates felt 바카라사이트ir course had a direct impact or was helpful in each of 바카라사이트se measures.

Overall, graduates reported o바카라사이트r benefits from part-time study; 바카라사이트y cited that it had helped 바카라사이트m develop as a person (88 per cent), improve self confidence (78 per cent) and increase 바카라사이트ir overall happiness (55 per cent).

The report¡¯s co-author Claire Callender, professor of higher education policy at Birkbeck, said: ¡°Our research clearly shows 바카라사이트 value of part-time study ¨C how it improves skills, leads to higher salaries, and boosts social mobility.

¡°As a result of 바카라사이트ir studies, 83 per cent of students surveyed felt better qualified to do 바카라사이트ir jobs and 63 per cent had taken on more responsibilities at work. One third of all UK undergraduates study part-time, so this is not a marginal issue.¡±
