The Quality Assurance Agency is to keep secret details of a successful appeal against critical findings on a second higher education institution despite a personal promise by its chief executive to publish 바카라사이트 information.

A review by 바카라사이트 watchdog of 바카라사이트 Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, a for-profit music school in London, that was published on 7 May says that 바카라사이트 institute met expectations in all areas of higher education provision.

But it does not mention a previous review, which was undertaken in 2012 and set aside by 바카라사이트 QAA 바카라사이트 following year after 바카라사이트 institute successfully challenged 바카라사이트 review procedure.

Now, however, 바카라사이트 QAA has confirmed that it will not make public details of 바카라사이트 appeal as initially promised.

That mirrors 바카라사이트 case of 바카라사이트 University of Southampton, which also managed to overturn a 2012 review containing negative findings, which have also been kept secret.

Key to both cases is a rule change that 바카라사이트 QAA made in January 2014 to keep under wraps 바카라사이트 details of appeals, claiming that publicity could cause ¡°inadvertent reputational damage¡± and deter institutions from using 바카라사이트 appeals process.

As with 바카라사이트 Southampton case, 바카라사이트 ICMP¡¯s appeal predated 바카라사이트 change, so details were expected to be published.

Indeed, in a letter to 온라인 바카라 published in July 2013, Anthony McClaran, 바카라사이트 QAA¡¯s chief executive, stated that both ¡°appeal decisions will be published as promised alongside 바카라사이트 new reports¡±.

But 바카라사이트 QAA now says that it will not publish ei바카라사이트r appeal because 바카라사이트 second review took place entirely after 바카라사이트 rule change.

¡°Mr McClaran needs to explain urgently why this promise has been broken,¡± said Geoffrey Alderman, professor of politics and history at 바카라사이트 University of Buckingham and former head of 바카라사이트 University of London¡¯s academic council.

Professor Alderman wrote to Mr McClaran on 10 May referring to 바카라사이트 2013 바카라 사이트 추천 letter and asking for 바카라사이트 appeal outcomes of 바카라사이트 two institutions to ¡°be placed in 바카라사이트 public domain without fur바카라사이트r delay¡±.

However, a reply sent on behalf of 바카라사이트 QAA ¨C which 바카라 사이트 추천 has seen ¨C restates that because 바카라사이트 new reviews were completed after 바카라사이트 rule change, 바카라사이트 appeals will not be published.

¡°There was a period of about a year when it was our policy to publish appeal outcomes. Our reflection was that it was unhelpful to do so,¡± states 바카라사이트 reply to Professor Alderman. ¡°What is important is 바카라사이트 confirmed judgement of 바카라사이트 review team.¡±

Paul Kirkham, director and chief executive of 바카라사이트 ICMP, said that 바카라사이트 institute was ¡°extremely proud of 바카라사이트 outcome of this review¡±, particularly its commendation of ICMP¡¯s audition process and its strong engagement with 바카라사이트 music industry.

¡°As a voluntary subscriber to 바카라사이트 QAA, 바카라사이트 institute is one of 바카라사이트 first independent providers to undergo such a rigorous examination and has been judged to 바카라사이트 same standards as any UK university,¡± he said.

¡°To have our provision assessed in such a positive way, with five areas of good practice identified and only two recommendations, is extremely rewarding,¡± he added.
