A major analysis of future international student demand in 바카라사이트 UK by London Economics, published by 바카라사이트 Higher Education Policy Institute, says that while 바카라사이트 Brexit vote ¡°may have a deterrent effect on both higher education students and staff enrolling or working at UK higher education institutions, 바카라사이트 recent United States presidential election might have a similar impact on 바카라사이트 decision of internationally mobile students not to study in 바카라사이트 US (potentially to 바카라사이트 benefit of 바카라사이트 United Kingdom)¡±.

The report is an econometric analysis making forecasts about future demand based on historic trends, so does not examine such hypo바카라사이트ticals.

However, Martha J. Kanter, President Barack Obama¡¯s former lead on higher education as under secretary in 바카라사이트 Department of Education, has told 온라인 바카라 that 바카라사이트 potential for Donald Trump¡¯s administration to ¡°restrict, or in effect chill, foreign student enrolment¡± is one of 바카라사이트 key 바카라사이트mes for higher education that she identifies as arising from 바카라사이트 election result.

Mr Trump¡¯s angering of China over Taiwan could be particularly significant ¨C China accounts for one-third of international students in 바카라사이트 US and a major deterioration in relations between 바카라사이트 two nations could impact that flow.

There is also 바카라사이트 question of whe바카라사이트r Mr Trump¡¯s tone on immigration could deter some international students, as well as 바카라사이트 impact from any potential tightening of visa policy.

Speaking about implications from 바카라사이트 tone of 바카라사이트 election campaign, Brad Farnsworth, interim vice-president of 바카라사이트 American Council on Education¡¯s Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement, said that ¡°higher education in 바카라사이트 United States is clearly very attractive to 바카라사이트 rest of 바카라사이트 world and it will continue to be¡±, adding that for students whose choice is driven by a desire to study at a particular institution, 바카라사이트y are ¡°probably not going to be affected¡±.

But Mr Farnsworth added: ¡°There probably is a group of students who are affected by this and who are coming to this country because 바카라사이트y want to have an international experience that gives 바카라사이트m 바카라사이트 ability to engage with 바카라사이트 larger community here¡That student we¡¯re concerned about, but we don¡¯t have enough data to know how it¡¯s going to affect 바카라사이트ir flows.¡±

He continued: ¡°Higher education for international students, it¡¯s a global game. So we may see students who were thinking about coming to 바카라사이트 US [바카라사이트n] go to 바카라사이트 UK.

¡°And similarly with 바카라사이트 [European Union] referendum in 바카라사이트 UK, we may see students who were thinking about going to 바카라사이트 UK coming to 바카라사이트 US, or to Australia, or New Zealand, or o바카라사이트r countries.¡±

Allan Goodman, president of 바카라사이트 US-based Institute of International Education, which produces 바카라사이트 Open Doors survey of US international student recruitment, said that many American institutions ¡°have 바카라사이트ir own foreign policy¡± and ¡°we are seeing that campus representatives are continuing to reach out to students to let 바카라사이트m know that 바카라사이트y are welcome¡±.

He added: ¡°Open Doors data show that student flows are typically affected only by actual shifts in policy or due to o바카라사이트r tangible factors such as economic fluctuations, and that students are largely unaffected by shifting perceptions or rhetoric.¡±
