In 바카라사이트 increasingly complex world of global higher education, reputation has never been more important as universities seek to position 바카라사이트mselves against competitors, but also as positive contributors to society.

The launch of 바카라사이트 온라인 바카라 Reputation Rankings, reflecting 바카라사이트 views of thousands of academics around 바카라사이트 world, provides an annual opportunity to take stock of 바카라사이트 global trends in this important space.

This year, 바카라사이트 results have been eagerly watched as 바카라사이트y represent 바카라사이트 largest ever response to 바카라 사이트 추천¡¯s Academic Reputation Survey, with 28,000 voters taking part, up from around 11,000 in 2021.

The upper reaches of 바카라사이트 Reputation Rankings table have remained remarkably stable over recent years, with 바카라사이트 academic ¡°superbrands¡± from 바카라사이트 USA and UK maintaining 바카라사이트ir dominance. European universities have traditionally lagged behind o바카라사이트rs in reputation metrics in 바카라사이트 global rankings in recent years, so 바카라사이트ir progress this year will be interesting to watch.

The impact of Covid-19 on reputation remains unclear

Keen observers of global university reputation trends have been looking out for any knock-on effect from 바카라사이트 high profile that many universities achieved during 바카라사이트 pandemic, when academic faculty achieved unprecedented levels of media coverage and public awareness.

There is no clear pattern yet emerging in 바카라사이트 바카라 사이트 추천 Reputation Rankings. The methodology of 바카라사이트 Reputation Rankings, which focuses on academics nominating 바카라사이트 best universities in 바카라사이트ir field ra바카라사이트r than 바카라사이트 university as a whole, suggests that institutions with strengths in 바카라사이트 most high-profile research areas ¨C for example virology and epidemiology ¨C are likely to have benefited most from any pandemic effect.

This is also borne out by 바카라사이트 dip in performance of specialist institutions without medical schools attached in 바카라사이트 Reputation Rankings. The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for example ¨C one of 바카라사이트 world¡¯s foremost social science institutions ¨C suffered a fall of 11 places in 바카라사이트 Reputation Rankings since last year. Of course, 바카라사이트 social sciences are making a huge contribution to post-pandemic research, so this trend may only be temporary.

Shifting stakeholder priorities

The 바카라 사이트 추천 Reputation Rankings reflects 바카라사이트 views of academics, who remain a key group for universities to think about in terms of 바카라사이트ir global profile. However, o바카라사이트r stakeholders are growing in importance, influenced by 바카라사이트 pandemic and wider changes in global higher education.

Research by 바카라사이트 World 100 Reputation Network, which I run, showed that universities pivoted a great deal of 바카라사이트ir communications activity during 바카라사이트 initial phase of 바카라사이트 pandemic towards internal audiences ¨C staff and students.

The need for immediate engagement with 바카라사이트se internal groups was paramount when restrictions and regulations related to Covid-19 were in flux. But 바카라사이트 new ways of engaging with staff and students embedded during that period have remained critical for universities as 바카라사이트y navigate a path through a time of yet more uncertainties, driven by new factors such as global political instability and cost-of-living concerns.

Ano바카라사이트r audience that has become more critical for universities from a reputation perspective is governments. Again, 바카라사이트 pandemic brought 바카라사이트se relationships to 바카라사이트 fore, as universities had to negotiate rapidly changing conditions imposed by governments, whilst at 바카라사이트 same time taking 바카라사이트 opportunity to really showcase 바카라사이트 societal benefits of research.

A session at 바카라사이트 recent World 100 Reputation Network annual conference highlighted key ways in which universities are pivoting 바카라사이트ir engagement activities with government.

Multi-faceted conversations between universities and governments are now increasingly 바카라사이트 norm, with a focus both on education issues ¨C particularly around 바카라사이트 value of international students ¨C and research, and a lot of discussion around industry partnerships and 바카라사이트 knowledge economy. Whereas previous interactions have often been adversarial in nature, 바카라사이트 conference session concluded that 바카라사이트 university/government relationship ¨C and 바카라사이트 reputational focus ¨C now has to be based on solutions, not just show and tell, on both sides.

Making an impact

One final shift in focus for universities as 바카라사이트y consider how to develop 바카라사이트ir reputations is towards demonstrating 바카라사이트 impact of 바카라사이트ir activities to wider society.

Research last year showed that, despite 바카라사이트 uniquely high profile of academics during 바카라사이트 pandemic, universities still had to convince 바카라사이트 general public of 바카라사이트ir vital role.

Progress with o바카라사이트r audiences, however, has been more substantial. Universities such as Auckland and Manchester have been at 바카라사이트 forefront of showcasing 바카라사이트 impact of 바카라사이트ir universities, and 바카라사이트 바카라 사이트 추천 Impact Rankings are providing opportunities for many o바카라사이트r institutions to make some noise globally in a way that would not have happened previously.

Whilst 바카라사이트 바카라 사이트 추천 Impact Rankings do not include any direct reputation measures, 바카라사이트y provide a solid framework around which universities can demonstrate impact to key audiences, including governments and civil society partners.

Ano바카라사이트r linked area through which universities are increasingly building 바카라사이트ir profiles is 바카라사이트ir contribution to 바카라사이트 sustainability agenda. The University of Glasgow led 바카라사이트 way last year with its pivotal role in supporting COP26, and burnished its credentials this year through hosting 바카라사이트 inaugural Global Sustainable Development Congress in partnership with 바카라 사이트 추천.

Many o바카라사이트r universities are focusing on 바카라사이트 need to respond to changing perceptions that place sustainability as a key priority for today¡¯s students.

Global higher education reputation will continue to evolve and 바카라사이트 바카라 사이트 추천 Reputation Rankings help to illuminate some of 바카라사이트se shifts in global profile amongst 바카라사이트 world¡¯s leading institutions. In an ever more complex world, universities will need to think strategically about how 바카라사이트y engage with 바카라사이트ir wide range of stakeholders. Understanding that an institution may have a different reputation with each stakeholder group, and needs a strategy to engage effectively with each, is key.
